Murello, Beach and Room

I booked this place not only for its aesthetically pleasing environment, applicable for both in the suites and common areas, but also for amenities like the pool, bar, and restaurant, where we could treat ourselves during the holiday. Safe to say, the place did not disappoint; in fact, it far exceeded our expectations and made us wish we could have stayed longer! The staff members were incredible, genuinely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They were always up for a quick chat and shared superb tips on what to explore around the island. Our suite was spacious, spotless, and impeccably maintained, as were the pool area and restaurant. A wonderful touch: the pool uses saltwater rather than standard chlorinated water—my skin sends its warmest thanks! :) We ate at the restaurant almost every day. It’s open to non-guests as well, and it clearly seems to be a popular spot for locals. The food and wine selection is outstanding, featuring authentic Cretan specialties. Every single dish and drink we tried was fantastic. Breakfast was equally impressive with plenty of variety. Definitely not your average, boring continental spread of basic cold cuts and cheese slices. On top of everything, we were frequently surprised with complimentary treats like fresh grapes, cookies, or homemade raisins. And do not let yourself be fooled by the maps, it is located literally 3 minutes from the beach by walk, and also close to the buzzing main street, where you can find grocery stores, souvenir shops and plenty restaurants.
