Sanglung Villas & Suites

When we arrived everything was well organised! We sent our luggage in advance and they already brought it to the room. We didn’t really know which Villa we get by checking it first (because they mix up the images of different villas in every possible booking) but we ended up getting villa number one which is an amazing and beautiful villa with a nice view and incredible sundown. The design is top-notch, the pool has a perfect size and the welcoming stuff was incredible lovely. The accommodation is really in the middle of nowhere. You need to eat in the restaurant or order their food to your room, however the food and the cappuccino is lovely. We can really recommend the private BBQ at the Villa — also a highlight for vegetarians!

The overall experience was very amazing, however there was four little things to mention: - they still take 3% payment charge for paying with credit card. (Not even the smallest warung or coffe shop does that anymore — it is outdated.) - The room delivery of food comes with an additional fee of 20%. On the first evening they had a large group getting BBQ at the main restaurant, so we weren’t allowed to be there 3/4 of the time in which they serve dinner. We still had to pay the additional fee by choosing room delivery. Plus, we are not sure if they forgot it or if they do it only on request but there was no room service (just a guy that came in the evening to turn on stuff against the mosquitoes), that means also the dirty dishes from the room delivery only got picked up after requesting it since we otherwise would have had run out of cutlery. - The transport is a bit overpriced, and they still added 100 K for a little stopover Jimbaran on the way to the airport. However the driver was extremely quick and lovely. - The checkout process was absolutely not lovely at all (what didn’t fit the rest of the lovely staff). No questions if everything was fine, if we want to return... The woman at the checkout just roughly calculated how much we needed to pay in advance for the services we had, didn’t go with us through the receipts and didn’t introduce us to our driver. In the end, she quickly added a “I hope you liked it with us”. As Germans were used to this kind of service, however it was just weird for Indonesia especially because everyone in this resort was so lovely before. It just left a small negative impression in the end.

Very comfortable stay

WOW, what a place! The property is stunning and the peaceful location is incredibly special - you feel as though you’ve chanced upon something very natural and unique. 10/10 fully recommend.

Wir lieben das Sanglung und waren dort als Familie sowohl in der Villa 3 als auch 14. Beide Unterkünfte waren traumhaft, mit eigenem Pool und Meerblick. Das Personal ist einfach zauberhaft. Wir fühlten uns wie im Urlaub bei Freunden. Auch das Essen und die Getränke sind sehr gut (Kompliment auch an den Bar-Mann), verhältnismäßig teurer aber für ein Hotel mit dem Standard akzeptabel. Gemeinschaftspool, Sauberkeit und die Anlage sind TOP!

Uns war klar, dass das Hotel auf einem Berg sehr abgelegen ist. Wer hier Warungs oder gute Straßen sucht wird enttäuscht. Man benötigt einen fahrbaren Untersatz oder muss sich einen Fahrer/Guide mieten. Wir würden uns nur noch über etwas mehr Freizeitangebote freuen: Eine Tischtennisplatte, Billard-Tisch o.ä. wurden das tolle Resort noch attraktiver machen.
