Galway City Hostel

The people, family dinners & pub crawls! Staff most of all, Tom is exceptional!

The location is excellent - very central, just off Eyre Square, opposite the 'bus area'. The hostel was very clean. The bed was comfortable with curtains for privacy - very important. Staff were very good and friendly and I really appreciate a staff member reserving a bottom bunk for me - much appreciated. Shower and bathroom area is very good - powerful showers and comfortable space. The common/kitchen area looks really nice - unfortunately I didn't have breakfast as it seemed a bit crowded, claustrophobic, and chaotic when I was checking out!

It did seem a bit small, but this is totally understandable given its central location. I noticed that the 'locker' under my bed didn't work as it was not possible to roll it out due to the position of the adjacent bed. I didn't need to use it, however, as I was there just one night.

The staff was extremely welcoming and warm. They made me feel right at home the entire duration of my stay and made my first time in a hostel phenomenal.

The rooms got a bit hot at night.

Loved the staff and the hot showers were very good. The free breakfast was great everyday with hot crepes and toppings available. Wonderful experience and the location was perfect!!

Lots of stairs 😬
