Casa Carlota is a cosy house in a quiet, rural area. It has basically everything you'll need for a longer stay (well, maybe except for a dishwasher). You have your own driveway and gate, a big patio (part of it with a roof, so it's nice to sit there if the weather is warm but rainy) and more outdoor space around the house. There is even a grill in the backyard and a small outdoor kitchen area next to it. The furniture is a bit like grandma's living room, but everything is clean and in good condition, although I agree with the other reviews regarding the couch, you sink in a lot. Grocery stores are 7min away (by car, I guess it's better to have one if you stay here), Lidl and Mercadona for the basics and a Hyperdino with a bit wider selection. Santa Cruz is about 15min away (by car). Laura met me at the house for the check-in, very friendly and welcoming; even a bottle of local wine was waiting for me. One hint: There are gardens and vinyards right next to it, so if you leave a window open unattended, geckos and millipedes will try to visit you (both harmless, though).

Een hartelijk ontvangst door Laura. De ligging is fantastisch met mooie zonsopkomst en zicht op zee. De woning is schoon en voor 2 personen ruim genoeg. Een kleine maar comfortabele douche.

De bank is erg zacht, je zakt er in weg.

The house is on a superb location on the island. Close to many sightseeing places, and close to the airport. All that you really need on a vacation is available at the house. And it comes with an amazing view. The reception at the house was really warm and welcoming

There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like. But beware if you’re tall like me (over 180cm), you’ll have to duck a bit for the doors only (bed, shower, and the rest of the house is more than large enough)

Casa Carlota is a well equipped and very comfortable single storey house with a wonderful view across the sea to Tenerife and La Gomera. The hosts leave a bottle of local wine on arrival. It is furnished in a very homely style and feels like living in someone's home rather than in a holiday home. There are two different areas to sit outside in the sun and it is surrounded by a plot of land with vines. There is a washing machine with washing liquid available. There are three large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive and the airport is a 15 minute drive away. The capital Santa Cruz is a twenty minute drive away. You can walk in five minutes onto the GR130 footpath which connects with other way-marked pathways.
