The bed was so comfortable and the room had a wonderful view of the river

Right in the centre of Matlock bath.
First floor room "Bretby" was lovely, really spacious, beautifully furnished and comfortable.
Not really a hotel & restaurant any more, fully self service with no staff in evidence. More of an air BNB (without the breakfast)
Really good Comms from the owner but I have to say given the sign and description I had expected a functioning hotel and restaurant.

Great value accommodation in a good location for train and bus links. The building is old but nicely renovated with some original features retained. The room was small but comfortable for my needs.

Quirky decor, surprisingly comfortable bed. Large room and big shower.
Staff attitudes were pretty poor, but they were overall helpful.
