The view was absolutely amazing, and the rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and very welcoming. Everything was clean, well looked after, and had such a lovely atmosphere. The owner, Ornella, was so kind and welcoming and genuinely made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made our stay feel really special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be coming back.

There honestly wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything was great.

The apartment is extremely comfortable, the beds are great, and it features two lovely little terraces perfect for breakfast while taking in the view. But the true highlight of the stay was Ornella, an exceptional host. Not only did she welcome us warmly and guide us perfectly in organizing all our excursions, but she also went above and beyond with thoughtful gestures: on our first day, seeing that we wanted to go to Sorrento, she dropped us off there on her way, and another time when we ran out of provisions, she saved the day by giving us pasta to cook. Her help made everything so much easier!

As an essential detail to keep in mind, the location is quite a bit further out than the maps indicate. Although Google Maps and the platform show it as being about 2.5 km from the center, in reality, it is around 11 km up a hill, and public transportation is not straightforward. For this reason, the place requires a car: since there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, you have to plan ahead with groceries during excursions or take advantage of the host's meal service.

Ornella is the most gracious host I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The dinners she prepared for us, enjoyed while overlooking Vesuvius, were incredible, and her restaurant recommendations in town were spot on every time. She also arranged our Amalfi Coast cruise perfectly and pointed us to Marina di Puolo, a small, local, family-friendly beach that ended up being our favorite spot to relax. I now consider Ornella a dear family friend and hope to return and visit her again., If traveling from USA this is the perfect place, and I highly recommend.

Villa Walter was wonderful, Ornella was a lovely host, with amazing home cooked food. Next time I’ll ask her to cook for us more!!! The views are spectacular, the pool area is very calming and the whole atmosphere makes you relax, enjoy the view and soak up the wonderful location that is Villa Walter. We loved our stay! We miss Bimba the cat and Pluto the dog!

We parked on the main road which made things easier. It does have tight parking.
