The building is beautiful, to look at, and in a lovely part of the world. There are pubs you can easily walk to and lots of villages and walks to explore. The interior could do with a little updating or replacing, yet everything was clean. The room was a good size.

Whilst we were there, there was a wedding. We were advised upon checking in we'd not be affected. However, our room was in the middle of a group of guests who partied on until 6am. Obviously a wonderful wedding, yet meant we had no sleep. The staff the next day were incredibly sympathetic and kind. However, I would encourage anyone wanting a quiet peaceful stay to phone ahead to check if there is a wedding.

Room hadn't been cleaned when I arrived, so was given an upgrade. Beautiful room at excellent value. Loved that all rooms are pet friendly.

Bathroom very small for size of room and toilet seat did not fit properly.

From the moment that I pulled off the road and drove down the long drive I was hooked. The hotel just opened up in front of me and I arrived at the front door. Car park is secure and well lit. The owner's daughter greeted me and showed me to my room which was just delightful. Clean and warm and very well appointed - even to the tea pot! Large towels and great wifi. The grounds are just spectacular and the breakfast was superb.
