Mawella Beach Resort

Mawella Beach Resort is a little piece of paradise. With the beach right on its doorstep, a wonderful swimming pool and peaceful surroundings, it is a beautiful place to unwind. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, spotless and spacious. Seeing monkeys wandering through the grounds and even a peacock made the experience feel even more special. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. Prasad deserves a very special mention: always available whenever we needed anything, friendly, helpful and endlessly kind. His gentle manner, calm presence and warm smile made us feel so welcome and cared for. He is an absolute credit to the hotel. Our heartfelt thanks also go to Mr Chandrasiri for helping make our time here so special. It is the warmth of people like these that stays with you long after a holiday ends. A wonderful setting, exceptional comfort and hospitality we will always remember. We would happily return and wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful place.

This place truly exceeded my expectations. What started as a short stay turned into more than eight days, simply because of how comfortable and welcomed I felt. During a difficult time when my country was at war, the kindness and generosity shown to me here meant more than words can express. They didn’t just provide a place to stay—they extended genuine care and support when it mattered most. Because of that, this hotel now holds a very special place in my heart. I’m deeply grateful and would highly recommend it to anyone looking not just for comfort, but for humanity.

It had only one option of breakfast.

This is a great place to stay, it is well situated on a quite beach with good facilities. Ranul and his team made us really welcome. Room was spacious with good facilities. Great value for money.

Nothing that we didn’t like but the photos did not adequately describe the faculties, they are better than the images.
