No problem, they had sent a car to pick us up and there was a great reception on our arrival ! It is a super place, that is so calm, cool, and rejuvenating... to the body, mind and soul too.... Will go back again.. hopefully soon.

Nothing that we did not like.

The entire experience at BeingSattva was just perfect. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience. They looked after us so well for the entire trip. The facilities are in a stunning and peaceful location and are clean, spacious and comfortable. I cannot recommend BeingSattva and the lovely staff more highly. If you want a peaceful get away for relaxation this is the place for you. The hustle and bustle of Ubud is close by and plenty of sightseeing and activities on hand when you want.

cannot mention one thing that I didn't like. Oh - it rained a lot and it was the dry season :-)

The breakfast is very healthy and tasty. knowing the chef has put in a lot of heart effort into the food, make us start the day with a fresh, healthy and happy mood. This place is excellent for those who loves nature. Ducks wagging at the farm in the morning, Monkeys would visit you at the balcony if you are lucky on the day.

The staff was very attentive, professional and nice. They knew my disappointment and they tried their best to please me.

This hotel may have had its heyday, but it’s not now. It needs to be revamped to deserve the qualifier «luxury». The restaurant, like the rest, looks outdated with its ordinary table clothes with stains and artificial flowers in dull white vases. Vegetarian food can be creative and tasty. It is not the case here.

The location and the set up is great. the stay was peaceful and relaxing.

The staff went above and beyond, they were so friendly and very helpful. Everything was clean, the pool was perfect for refreshing and the food was super delicious, the breakfast as well as the dinner. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from Ubud centre, as the road is to difficult to walk, you‘ll need a driver or a scooter. But there‘s a hotel shuttle ever 2 hours that you could book for free :) it‘s a very quite area, which is perfect if you‘re looking for a relaxing stay.

The room was pretty, it could do with a seating area in the room. The front porch has a lounger but that is outside on patio.

BeingSattvaa is truly jungle heaven. We had one of the pool rooms, and I can't recommend it enough. You are surrounded by tropical loveliness and wake up to the sounds of the forest. The room is beautiful and the bathroom has an absolutely divine bathtub (ask them for bath salts!). It was a treat just spending time in the room, in the bath, or in the pool. It's like being immersed in nature while at the same time enjoying all the luxuries. The whole property is beautiful, green, and wonderfully maintained. The yoga shala is lovely and the instructors are fantastic. We loved the spa as well and had one of the best Balinese massages ever. Shuttle services into Ubud are every two hours and very convenient. The whole staff at BeingSattvaa is helpful, friendly, and accommodating. All in all we had an absolutely wonderful time!

We were disappointed that BeingSattvaa was not more accommodating to vegans. They had some vegan menu items, but most of the items were vegetarian and could only be veganized by removing something like egg or cheese. In other words, they didn't have a vegan replacement. Other properties we stayed at that were not even vegetarian had a lot more vegan breakfast items as well, whereas BeingSattvaa only had vegan pancakes for the 4 days we were there. Very repetitive. At other places in Bali, we had more than one smoothie bowl option, tofu scrambles, avocado toast, corn fritters, and different kinds of porridge. I suggest to BeingSattvaa that you have more vegan options, since everyone including vegetarians can eat them and it's inclusive to most dietary needs!

We LOVED everything about this property. We did the 4 night, 5 day wellness package and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff is incredible and it was the BEST vegetarian/vegan/GF food we've had anywhere in the world.

In many countries, the smell of the water in the bathrooms has a bad odor. This is to be expected and did not bother us BUT something to make note of - not the hotels fault.

We loved everything about our stay at BeingSattvaa - it truly exceeded our expectations. We felt such a sense of peace, wellbeing and connection with nature and here. The staff were all so genuine, kind and generous and always looking to make sure we were ok. We really enjoyed our conversations with them and felt very taken care of. The food was a highlight - the chefs are extremely talented - we could feel their care, attention to detail and passion in the food. The food was all very healthy and there were so many amazing choices. We struggled to pull ourselves away to eat anywhere else! Our room had a private pool which was an extra special treat - amazing to start each day with a cold plunge with an epic view, and then free Yoga. The Yoga studio also looked out onto the forest and had a real sense of peace and calm. The resort pool was also a beautiful place to relax, swim and read - or have our afternoon tea which was served daily with some cake on the side. We also had a couple of treatments at the Spa - the therapists were very professional and the rooms were beautiful. Overall we can't speak highly enough of BeingSattvaa - we came away feeling nourished, relaxed, healthy and inspired. We will definitely be back!

We booked this hotel/resort based on the excellent reviews on this site and could not verify any of it. This was by far the worst stay we had in Bali. We stayed at the Teakwood house with two bedrooms/bathrooms. Room design is old and very basic; no details of any kind; uncomfortable sitting, everything shabby and worn down. One bathroom could not be used due to lack of shower pressure and loads of ants. Next day, ants were in the other bathroom as well (all over my toothbrush). Resort is next to a busy road looking over a ricefield. At night you have a mixture of jungle sounds and cars/motorbikes. Shutters could not be closed properly so early wake up with the sun every morning. Needless to say - we didn’t sleep well. Cleaningness is a big minus: room is not very clean and is not being cleaned thoroughly during our stay (we ordered coffee/tea to our room at arrival and the mugs/plates/leftovers were still left in the room at departure). Bathroom mouldy on several places. The food was scarce, dull and dinner was HORRIBLE. You have two choices of ala card breakfast consisting of apple musli or smoothie bowl plus two eggs of your choice (or pancakes that even the kids didn’t like). Everything at breakfast was pretty tasteless. And service is slooooooow. Dinner selection is just a few dishes including pasta and pizza- whoever expects great veggie food at this place will be deeply disappointed. We had to return the soup (which was more of a mash) for being too sour snd too salty. Staff was very slow, poor English and not very friendly. Not a lot of staff there anyway. Not helpful at all with anything. The night before checkout they called at 10pm asking us for our plans for the next day (?!). We didn’t try the spa (which looked closed) and they offered one morning yoga class at 7am only. The location was far out in the middle of nowhere. If you want to be able to walk anywhere - forget about it.

We didn’t like anything about our stay and were glad to have booked two nights only at this place. Pool is much smaller in reality than it looks in the pictures. We can’t recommend this to anybody and are pretty much under the impression that other reviews can’t really be for this place.

Location: The retreat villa is in a quiet part of Ubud, but also easily accessible to Ubud center in 15 min by car. The entrance into the villa is beautiful and calming. Lush green surroundings nestled in the midst of a jungle and rice paddy field. It's truly a beautiful experience away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Accommodation: We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the staff beautifully decorated our room, and made our stay very memorable. In spite of being in a natural surrounding, the rooms and bathrooms were very well maintained and relatively bug-free! Amenities: There is breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort along with spa , infinity pool and laundry facilities. The vegetarian food is one of the best I have ever had. Their attention to detail and food presentation is worth an award in itself. Service: Exemplar hospitality and service by the staff here. They are so kind and happy and they make sure you have a good experience. Day tours : The villa helped arrange a driver for a half-day tour of Ubud. They even packed the yummiest sandwiches, water bottles and sarong for us. We had a 1 yr old baby and we were quite apprehensive on how we will be able to manage a tour with a baby. We were so glad we chose this place cos they treated the baby as a part of their family and made him feel very comfortable in a new surrounding!
