Lazzoni Hotel

The hotel itself is very neat, beautiful, and elegant, and the staff is extremely attentive - really top-tier.

However, the location is a major downside. All the best spots, sights, and food places are very far away, practically outside the city boundaries. On the map, it looks like there is a river promenade nearby, making you think it would be a lovely place to walk, but that’s not true. Everything is fenced off and blocked. You have to walk a long way just to get to the water, and there is no nice view anyway. The surrounding area is full of factories and feels quite sketchy. There are no decent restaurants or cafes nearby if you want an alternative place to eat or grab a coffee. I couldn't even get a good cup of coffee in the hotel either, as it comes from cheap automated machines. What disappointed me the most was the breakfast. At €30, it is incredibly basic and minimal. It consisted of an omelet, a boiled egg, soup, a small selection of cold cuts, a croissant, a roll, some bread with spreads, and that’s literally it. For €30 in Istanbul, you can get an amazing, lavish breakfast with pancakes and a huge variety of dishes. Remarkably, there were zero Turkish sweets. The rooftop restaurant menu was also surprisingly limited, offering only standard, uninspired desserts. The food overall was a huge disappointment. I wouldn't have opted for breakfast if there were any alternatives nearby, but with nowhere else to go, I was forced to eat at the hotel and pay €30.

The property was great but very far from the center. It will cost you 1000 Lira to the city and another 1000 Lira back.

It was clean and nice. Free spa was absolutely amazing. The only bad thing was the overpriced breakfast 30 Euroes per person everyday. It’s even more expensive than a 5 star hotel in Stockholm where I am from. Absolutely overpriced for no reason. Glad I did not dine there.

Wir haben ein Upgrade nach Ankunft erhalten, wofür wir sehr dankbar waren. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Goldenen Horn und alles ist in kurzer Zeit erreichbar.

Location was good staff was good

Rooms smell like cigarettes. Didn't like bathroom. Lotion in bathroom was out. No power outlet by beds. Entrance smell like cigarettes
