Large 2-room apartment in the southern part of Palaeochora. 2 minutes walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and the ferry terminal, yet in a quiet quarter. The apartment is fully equipped and always kept spotlessly clean by the helpful Christina. The matresses are a bit hard but we like it this way.

The apartment and the location of the apartment are really good. Our apartment on first floor has a huge terrace with view on local church and the hill above Palaiochora. We enjoyed a lot on that place.

The only disadvantage of this apartment is the lack of parking spaces near the apartment. If you try to reach this apartment by car, for example to leave or pick up luggage, the lack of parking spaces and narrow streets can cause problems. But this location is in the heart of the old part of the city and this problem is understandable.

Spotlessly clean. Large and practical bathroom. Well-equipped. Nice balcony.

Door to apartment was directly into the bedroom and the neighbours terrace was right beside this door.

Close to the port if that's your means of transport (it was for us). Really spacious, perhaps much more than necessary even for four occupants!

Adjacent to the major church of Paleohora, so expect some bell ringing! Fixtures in bathroom need some tightening here and there. No spare toilet paper left anywhere in an apartment that has massive storage capacity. TV not working (antenna not present). Don't think it is possible to park nearby, but we were on foot.

We really enjoyed our stay - so much so that we extended in by a night. The apartment is fairly basic but clean and has most things you need, the terrace was huge, with a pergola for shade and tables and chairs to enjoy meals/drinks outside. The view was lovely - directly in front of the church, with the little castro in the background, and you can also see stoney beach for there too. Really peaceful location, although close by to restaurants, shops and bars. The communication from Giorgos was prompt before the booking and during our stay. The lady who we collected the keys from and who did the cleaning was very friendly, spoke good English and really tried to help us with our issue with the travel cot.

The travel cot really isn't suitable for babies or toddlers to sleep in - it's huge, so I think it was originally a play pen, and it doesn't have a mattress - just a hard base covered in polythene. We found towels and sheets to cover it for the first night but my two year old son had a very uncomfortable night's sleep. The next day the cleaner helped us by providing a different base from a play pen which we were then able to soften with towels and stretch our own fitted sheet over that we brought. Not ideal but was much better! I really don't think it's suitable as a travel cot but especially for babies under 1 years old. We would stay again but will bring our own travel cot!
