Casa Umoja

CASA UMOJA (UNITY HOUSE) This is a family compound and I felt it was a privilege to get to stay in this family space. Some of the family members live in the property and the staff are family members. I liked the organic structure - sand floors in the outside area, many trees and the room decor and beautiful rustic furniture in my room was lovely. The desk in my room was great (working). Breakfast served from 7:00am to 10:00am was very good. The coffee, tea, plate of seasonal fruits, eggs, bread and pancake was a great start to the day. Tours and taxi transfers can be booked at Casa Umoja. Very safe location.

The were occasional blackouts - but this was Zanzibar Island in general. The property has a generator.

Sehr nette Leute und die Unterkunft ist auch total super. Alles wie beschrieben

Leider nicht überall WLAN Empfang wie eigentlich in der Beschreibung beschrieben.

Our stay in Casa Umoja was nice, specially the location is a 10-steps from the beach. My kids were entertaining their time with this lodge. Specially my elderly son enjoyed his time with those quite dogs. We were outside until 9:00pm, the environment was safe and secured. There were also a lot boat trip organizers around but we used "Lulu", located outside at the exit of this lodge. I have got them very informative, careful and responsible for their customers. We were also grateful for the lodge staff called -Sula- she was a nice addition for the lodge to manage when there are concerns regarding anything inside, I also appreciate the information she fed us before going outside, thank you.

Do not expect a cozy breakfast, they served very basic thing and same thing for all your staying dates. It would have been also best to clean the room everyday. I was asking but they responded- they provide cleaning service every other day. But for the lodge located by the sides of the beach, cleaning service should be non-compromised because surely there will be a sand and dust came from outside at least with slippers.

It had hot water atleast
