Amazing location with a great view over the Alps. It is close to the Chimsee, but far enough away from the city that you have peace and quiet. The rooms were spotless clean and felt very cozy. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen and served with a lot of care. The owners ensure that you feel comfortable and have the best stay possible. Overall 10/10 and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Bavaria.
Only a few minor things that could be better:
- when turning the TV on it sets itself to a high volume by default (just something that needs to be changed in the settings)
- the walls could use a bit of extra sound padding, since you could occasionally hear the TV from the room next door (very minor inconvenience)

The hotel is really amazing. Hosts were very friendly and make us feel like at home. Room were really nice, clean and cozy. I appreciate all details to feel comfortable. The breakfast was amazing!! everything fresh and a lot of choices. Great view from the balcony. Nature around is incredibly nice and lake Chiemsee is really close. we enjoyed our stay! thank you :-)

There is a lot to recommend this place, but I personally would not go back for one reason: it is very close to a church which rings it's bell EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES ALL NIGHT LONG. And on the hour, it rings four times PLUS the number of the hour. So, at midnight, it's 4 + 12 rings. Now, if you close your window tightly, and if you are a heavy sleeper like my wife - no problem! But for me, a light sleeper - I did not get a single good night's sleep there. In fact, we left before our reservation was complete. I repeat: there are many good things about this place, including the breakfast and the fact that the proprietors are VERY nice and helpful. You DO NEED A CAR. There is only ONE place to eat within walking distance - about a 20 min walk.

Everything. The location was great - close to Chiemsee and lots of attractions, in a peaceful and quiet town, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The Mountain view from the private balcony was amazing.
The area is perfect for getting around by bike and there are loads of things to do and an impressive selection of restaurants.
The owners and staff were extremely attentive and helpful, and at no time invasive. At breakfast they took time to speak with everyone for a few minutes, offering their advice on things to see and do in the area. One of the days it was raining, and when we arrived at breakfast they had already printed a list
of things to do for all guests.
Everything was well organized and clean. They had thought of every little detail. The room was big and had everything you need. The beds were comfortable and there were different sizes of pillows.
We had a pleasant stay and came
back home relaxed, which was the whole scope of our vacation.

amazing hoteliers and pretty much the best breakfast we could hope for. Owners were so kind that they event put the heating on (in July) when we came all weat from the bikes 🙏🏻

After traveling for two months in Austria and Germany and having stayed in numerous hotels and pensions I would have to say this was our most favourite. The hosts were the most welcoming, friendly and convivial of all the one’s we have stayed with. The breakfast was superb and the facilities were great with lovely countryside views.
We thought it might be a bit out of town, but actually it’s not that far. Being just out of town in the countryside we were away from all the hassle and bustle in town and had a great view down to lake Chiemsee.

Our hosts bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The included breakfast was beyond outstanding. They also even started breakfast early one day so we could catch our train for a day trip to Salzburg. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and a good size and the view from the balcony was awesome. Several unexpected bonus items appeared during the stay as well (a free drink, chocolates, some fruit). It was quiet at night but close enough to Prien. They were friendly and tried to get to know us as if we were guests in their home. I cannot stress enough how hard our hosts worked every day to make our visit the best it could be. I would never think of staying anywhere else when in the Chiemsee area.

We spent a long weekend here and I have to say it was the best stay in a hotel i've ever had. The service cannot be beat! Very personal and very friendly! The breakfast offer is nothing short of amazing. The location is ideal and very calm and quiet. We highly recommend this hotel.

The owner of the hotel is very sweet and welcoming, we felt a personal touch in what they do. We also had a nice mountain view from our balcony. The breakfast was superb.
We stayed in a pick time when all the rooms were booked so you’d have to arrive early to make sure there is a parking place left for your car. But that’s not a big problem, it’s possible to park in a surrounding area.

The position on top of the Chiemsee valley in a wonderful scenery. The room is perfectly equipped with every comfort. Exceptional breakfast and welcome. Each time better.

The breakfast was phenomenal; a lot to choose from, great choices of juice, coffee and tea, and beautifully presented. The rooms were elegant, clean and perfect for what we were looking for.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and always made sure you fell like at home.
As stated in almost all reviews - breakfast is the highlight of the hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious. Furthermore, they made sure to obey distance and hygiene restrictions.
The location is a bit far from Prien and the harbour - so, if you are planning on biking r walking all the way from the main station, it will take you a while.
