This is a 12th century castle that has been restored but still retains all its castle feature. No lift, uneven floors - but it is another world. Beautiful gardens, a small restaurant at night - we had 3 small children with us - they loved it. All the Chianti towns easily accessible if you have a car. Great staff - everyone very helpful and friendly.

Incredible location with amazing views of Tuscan countryside . Helpful staff .
Property can feel a bit isolated without a car . There is a bus service to local shops and Florence but with a very limited time table. The staff at the property did prebook taxis for us to assist with travel . The restaurant at the property was just ok and could provide an option locally with coffee and snacks during the day . Given the history of the property more could be made of tours and explanations of its history.
