The town of Bellano what’s the good choice. It had fair access, but not the crowds that we found in towns like Varenna
The apartment looked out on the lake
Unfortunately, there were problems with the hot water heater, but our contact was very responsive and eventually they got it

Location was perfect. Right on Lake Como with ferry located right across the road. Close to amenities and many restaurants.
Nothing really as our stay was just perfect!!

Convenient location for ferry next day.
Spacious.
Comfortable.
Clean.
The checkin process was dreadful.
I was requested to fill in all details of 4 guests, on the day of arrival, while I was travelling. The form accepted UNITED KINGDOM only in uppercase for birth place and nationality, and not in any format for passport origin. I ended up having to photograph all the passports and send them on WhatsApp. This wasted an hour of my time, while I was trying to enjoy a scenic train ride.
It was a struggle lifting all our luggage up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

Stunning views from the windows in each room. Unit was larger than appeared in the listing. Homely feel. Good kitchen facilities. Lovely lounge area. Great location next to the ferry (Bellano is in the middle lakes area, which is convenient for ferries). Easy train access. Best beach in lake como a short walk away. Lovely town that works as a great place to explore lake como from and have a lovely non touristy place to return to. This unit is as good as it gets for a reasonably priced option in Como.
Water pressure was very low. Turning on a tap while in shower slowed it to a trickle. While there was no aircon, opening a window and turning the fan on cooled down the place enough, but this left the rooms subject to noise from the street. However, this died down mostly from 10pm and after a long day of exploring you don’t really notice.
