It was a first time for me trying a hostel and I was afraid that it would be noisy and unsafe. I'm so happy I stayed at this hostel, the venue is clean, well maintained and your privacy is guaranteed. I came back from town at 1am, went straight to bed and slept like a baby. There are several signs to ensure that guests respect the other guests sleep. The beds and pillow are super comfy. I recommend 200% and will be staying here on my next short term trip to London. Staff is super nice, I forgot the name of the guy who welcomed me but 5 star service 👏🏽

Convenient location, showers and kitchen were regularly cleaned and communal area for eating and laptoping.

A lot of rules, posters like threats 😂. But I guess that's understandable with how many people are staying in the building. The receptionist is clearly a bouncer somewhere or was, and anything you forget they charge you for, which I imagine is pretty standard but just a heads up. Oh - I had a constant feeling or not being clean though, because of nine of us sleeping in one room, I sweated through by PJ's most nights, near the end I was starting to get the impression that there was mould somewhere in the room but in a place that couldn't be cleaned or something, everything constantly smelled damp and I don't usually shower everyday but I felt I had to because I couldn't work out if it was me or not. Also, the plug sockets and every bed - which is good, but you can hear the whirring through the night and (I was top bunk) I could see down the back of the bed to all the extension plugs plugged into the wall, there's no way that's fire safe, nine bed plugs to two wall sockets (I could only see one side of the room so I'm guessing the total). Felt worrying in the brain back burner but overall I didn't feel unsafe for my personal safety etc

Common baths very clean, kitchen available( cleanliness depends on guests…),breakfast worth the price . Room ,private bath and linen perfect. Not really central but tube and busses very convenient

The hostel facilities , the bed soooo comfortable and having curtains for privacy was such a bonus. The little extras eg fan, light next to your bed. The manager was smiling and happy to greet me which was a warm touch. Made you feel welcomed

Staff was very friendly and attentive, I’ll give 5 stars just for their attitude. The room and the bathrooms were very clean .

May need one more fan for the room. The location is not the greatest.

Toilets may use some renovation

the Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly and helpful. The location is superb near Mile End tube station and a bus stop right outside the property. Plenty of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants nearby. Top bunk pretty comfortable and linens clean. I like also that they have space to lock away your belongings and give padlock and converter plug at no extra charge. I will stay here again.

I think it could be cleaner, the cleanliness in the common areas was ok/good, but it should be excellent in my opinion.

Bed is super comfy. I am a plus size and climbing to 2nd level of the bunk bed is not too hard, unless you are afraid of heights.

The quality of the tissue paper is too thin. Imagine you're using that when you're in the toilet.

Friendly staff offered breakfast and towel on arrival. I was able to check in after 12 at night. Bed was clean and very comfortable. Shower was good.

The bedsheet was not changed for the entire number of days I spent there. The lounge was poorly ventilated, unkempt, with old sofas and had a damp smell constantly hanging in the air. The beds spaces were quite small (atleast for 6 footers like myself) and an inbuilt locker further compromised the bed space.

The location close to the metro, buses, shops, supermarkets, services, cleanliness and very friendly staff.

I liked everything - the community feel, the shared kitchen, the friendly and helpful staff, the fact that they had a washing machine in-house. Very nice vibes, would stay again.

It was a bit expensive for me, if it was 15% cheaper it would have been perfect.

The staffs here are all so friendly. Ian was very helpful on my arrival. Helped me carry my luggage and show me to my room. I never had this kind of help even in a high-end hotel. I asked him if he knew of any Sunday roast restaurants around the hostel and he went and searched it up for me and gave me a list of the best ones. Live the privacy in the room where the beed have the curtains and a little folding table/lockable shelf to store the electronics. Love the lockable storage under the bed to keep all the valuables safe. Live the in-room washrooms so you don't have to run out to find a free one and might forget to bring your keycard. There is a kitchen that we can all use to cook or store our food. There is a lounge for some work time or to enjoy some TV, ps4 or board games. Not many stairs in the building, which is really good when carrying luggage. There is luggage storage for the day you leave.

It's a bit noisy due to the street traffic, even at night. I wished there was a handheld showerhead in the ensuite washroom instead of the weird fixed one on the wall. Wished they have a slightly later checkout time. You can pay 5£ per hr, latest is till noon only.

The location is great. You have everything you need and staff is very kind and friendly.

It is very much appreciated that the hostel agreed to let me change the dates for my two bookings due to the railway strike, and I was not further charged for such a change. Therefore, I could travel to another city and then go back to London without problems. I also want to thank the staff who helped me to take my heavy luggage. The location is close to central London, so it is very convenient to stay in this hostel. It is not far from the Mile end underground, and is safe if you go back at night.
