Lebo's Soweto Backpackers

This is not just accommodation, this is an experience!! Entirely run by the locals of Soweto, it is a remarkable example of what a community can do. The hostel is clean, comfy, safe, quiet, provides safe parking for cars, and fabulous Soweto tours by bike or tuktuk. Do not be deterred by shared bathrooms, they are clean and there are many, at least four. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The staff are super kind. Many thanks to Yheyhe for giving us a fantastic tour of Soweto by bike. I think you guys are role models for many communities around the world. Keep up the fantastic job you are doing.

The people, the receptiveness and the activities offered, even though I didn't do any of it, cuz I didn't have time, but, just for them to offer that, for me it's a bonus. The staff are friendly and helpful.
