Boutique Hotel Be41

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Maastricht and extremely convenient for exploring the city on foot. The hotel itself is charming and has an interesting vintage concept. The room was pleasant, everything was very clean, and the bed was particularly comfortable. The bathroom was also spotless. Overall, the atmosphere is distinctive and the property can certainly be a very good choice for a couple looking for a central place to stay.

The main issue is comfort. The stairs are very narrow and quite steep, and with no lift they can make moving around the property rather inconvenient, especially with luggage. The vintage furniture looks attractive at first sight, but some pieces showed significant rust. This made it unrealistic to use certain drawers or wardrobes for clothes, as I would certainly not want to place or hang garments inside rusty furniture. The bathroom, although perfectly clean, was extremely small. My biggest reservation, however, concerns the value for money. I am not entirely sure what the word “boutique” is supposed to represent in this particular case. Sometimes the term seems to be used mainly to justify a price above that of a conventional three-star hotel, without necessarily providing a correspondingly higher level of comfort or service. In summary, this is a charming, very clean and exceptionally well-located hotel, particularly suitable for a couple. At a lower price I would consider the offer much better balanced. At the rate we paid, however, the value for money felt difficult to justify.

The staff were extremely friendly. The stairs were extremely challenging with large luggage. The noise from the guests in the room above kept us awake at night and early morning- not as relaxing as we’d hoped. A great Location and comfortable room
