It's a nicely presented property - despite shared facilities it never feels inconvenient due to the amount of bathrooms and showers. Basic continental breakfast is provided. The area is safe, with nice cafes, bars, restaurants in close walking distance. Metro is very convenient. Tv with streaming capabilities and string wifi.

My room was on bottom floor, single - so small but adequate. The acoustics were very bad compared to last stay here - everything that happens in the kitchen, every door, every footstep reverberates in this room loudly. The bed wasnt super comfortable. The room had a musty smell to begin with and the window had no privacy looking straight onto shared courtyard. Prices seem to have increased a lot from earlier stay although grand final weekend is a factor. PSA DONT RESPOND TO ANYONE ON WHATSAPP ASKING TO CONFIRM BOOKING - i was advised this was scammers by reception. No reflection on business itself.

Very convenient to everything

It's always interesting to see how historic properties are adapted for modern uses. This is one is in an attractive precinct down the road from a workplace of mine 40 years ago. The big advantage now is that the Victoria Cross metro station is less than ten minutes walk away, and then you can be in Martin Place in the centre of the city in another ten minutes. There are also cafes down the road - and the Crows Nest restaurant precinct is just up the highway. The breakfast supplies are plentiful and helpful.

One of the men's showers doesn't have any shelving. This could be fixed very easily. I like the map showing local facilities - but it needs updating. There's no mention of the metro station, the newsagent isn't operating, and there is no cafe at 1 Ridge Street. But otherwise a very nice touch for travellers who don't know the area.

Very clean, well maintained shared kitchen and bathroom. Easy to self check in. Location is all good. Walking distance to metro. The room was extremely small, but enough for solo trips.

The room they gave me was next to the shared bathroom, I can hear people slam on the doors and neighbors showering from 6am in the morning til 1am past midnight. It’s very noisy I cannot rest well. I don’t know if other rooms can hear the noises too or just the room I stayed. Also the only hair dryer in the building was very slow, and broken on the second day I stayed, it’s very unfriendly for someone have long hair. I recommend to bring your own hair dryer if you have to live here. I slept with wet hair. I stayed for two nights and never met the staff for even once. No housekeeping and towels changing.
