Good location. The hotel owners / staff were really great and you can see they take great pride in their property. I liked that there was staff on late at night so it felt very safe. The rooms are very comfortable (I stayed twice at the beginning and end of my trip and had 2 different rooms), beautifully made beds, in room fridge, spacious and adequate bathroom.
There wasn't anything I could fault for the price.

Did not eat breakfast but lots of small cafes nearby who served good coffee and breakfast. Location excellent, quiet but only 10 minutes from centre. Staff very accommodating, friendly and helpful and everywhere spotlessly clean and well maintained. For the money paid this little hotel was great value.

The room was quiet because the original room faced the street and reeked of smoke, so I asked to be moved and the new room was in the back. It was a bit run-down and shabby, nothing special.
None of the staff spoke word of English. I speak some Portuguese so I managed, but it got particularly complicated with access to the hotel. No elevator and the stairs are quite steep.
