Clean rooms. Excellent service.

The walls are kind of thin.

- Friendly hosts. - Good location for visting many caves and paths. - Very clean room. - Good palinca.

- The breakfast could use a little upgrade in my opinion. - A lot of motels in the region so because of this don't expect great views at the cabine. - Noisy fan in the bathroom, no fly net at the windows.

Location

It was an annoying smell, something between definitely not fresh and mice. The price was for sure exceeded considering the overall conditions. Also the images were not relevant, the kitchen looks different.

The location of the facility is in a quiet place, about 1km away from the Vartop chair lift. The host is very friendly and gave us a lot of instructions on the tourist attractions nearby. The food is absolutely delicious here and they also have a bar with everything you need (including local drinks). Everything was over our expectations and we had a great time here.

There was nothing we did not like.

The host is awesome. Provided us a trip to Cetatile Ponorului that we'll not forget :), especially my wife, who has challenged her climbing skills. The kitchen is ok, the menu combines the local food with international food. In case you want something "customized" you can pre-order. The bed mattress is excellent, quite orthopedic! The location is near the most attractive places from the Apuseni reservation.

Very small screen tv and the room could have been better.

The property is located up a hill providing nice views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was included in our price of the room and is typical in content for this region of Romania (various cold cuts and cheeses, fresh vegetables, milk and cereal, toast with honey of jam, scrambled or poached eggs). Lunch and dinner can be served at the property a la carte and includes good food at very affordable prices. We were most delighted by the friendliness of the staff (especially the owners of the property). We came to this region of the West Carpathian Mountains (Muntii Apuseni) to do many hikes and visit the splendid caves and water falls formed in this mountain range. All throughout our three days of exploring the owners were very helpful, giving us hints and details about each hike, alternative routes to take and the time it takes for journey. On return from each trip they would ask about our day. On one occasion, they even handed us a head lamp, since we were one short and we were to embark on the exploration of the caves on the trail of Cetatile Ponorului. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Pensiunea Piatra Graitoare very much and we will definitely consider coming back here for our next round of exploration in the West Carpathian Mountains.

A special experience, both in terms of the place but especially of the people who inspire it. Lucian and Mirela together with the girls who work there make an extraordinary team and made us feel at home. Lovely room, lovely location, and amazing view from the balcony. We will gladly return.
