The house has a magnificent location, very nice rooms, and the service provided was top-notch. The owner had provided very clear instructions how to get there, which was very kind and helpful.

late check in at last minute, couldn’t get in to 5 pm after our international flight that day, confusion on how to operate the lock on door, directions on how to operate the stove would be helpful and front panel of bathroom vanity needs to be replaced.

Did not expect clean fee of 80 euro for just one night. We, 4 adults, maintained everything clean during our stay. 80 euro for cleaning was unreasonable to our stay.

Gorgeous views! Spacious layout with full kitchen. Perfect for families! Right down the street from Bjargarsteinn Mathus, a culinary experience! Not far from Olafvik for whale tours and Stykkholmur for the ferry. Our kids witnessed an amazing snow storm, saw a sea lion and were able to sled— all on site.

Everything was set up nicely for a family. Only two things could have been improved- more hot water for the showers and fewer flies. This is a fabulous place with some of the most striking views on Snaellfelness peninsula.

Simply magical! We stayed over Christmas holiday and the house was just perfect. All the amenities we needed and the location is simply unbeatable. The house was in a great location for exploring the peninsula and watching for Northern Lights right from the dining room (and even the bedroom!) was such a special experience (attached photo taken in the front yard). Thank you so much for an amazing holiday!

The location is absolutely stunning. The home itself is large and will accommodate a large party. We were very comfortable. The host Eva was super kind and charming. She even brought us extra towels at our request. But again, the highlight is the view and the proximity to Grundarfjordur, Kirkufell, and the entire peninsula. The kitchen is entirely modern with all cookware you could possibly need (we cooked in twice). Oh, and I did I mention the Icelandic horses? What a dream to wake up one morning and find them grazing outside our window.

Large parties should be warned that there is only one, small bathroom with a shower. Wait your turn, and you'll be fine. But when two people have to use the toilet, there may be a brawl! ;) Also note that the exterior may need a fresh coat of paint, but you should consider that this area can be rather inhospitable weather-wise... and the inside is warm, clean, and comfortable.
