This was a dream location as I had photographed Kirkjufell on two other trips. The house was perfect, clean and comfortable. I will not soon forget staying in this magical place!! Great quick communication with owner. Do not hesitate to stay here- it will go down as a more memorable stay in your lifetime.

The view and location was excellent. Eva, the host was responsive and helpful. Lots of space. Liked that there was coffee included!

Washer would have been great.

The house is set in a picturesque landscape witk kirkjufell towering right next to it. We can see the falls and hill side by side and the view is breathtaking. Right behind the home theres is a natrow walkway to the sea. The house has all the basic requirements for a comfortable stay. We can stream to tv as well. The beds are really comfortable. Time stands still while enjoying the view from the dining. There are couple of nice restaurants and supermarket nearby. There's also a good garage nearby for any quick checks ups, air or flat tire repair. Walk from the house to kirkjufellfoss - take a leisurely one to catch few hidden gems (falls and streams). We were quite disappointed the house didnt have a washing machine or iron box. We stayed in 9 different houses during our 12 day trip and 7 had washing machines and 8 had iron boxes. I understand the owner doesnt advertise a washing machine, but for the amenities provided and rent charged, I think a washing machine would be a welcome addition (just my humble opinion). Would I stay here again? - 365 days a year if I could 😀😀😀

From the location to the amenities, Hellnafell was perfect. We were looking for a place that was well-positioned for exploring the peninsula and spacious enough for four adults to relax comfortably in variable weather, and this was definitely both. The common areas and beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the essentials, and the views of Kirkjufell out the window can't be beat. We also appreciated how close it is to town without being in it - easy to drive in for groceries or a meal out. We highly recommend this place and hope to stay again in the future.
