Great location. Spacious rooms. Warm & cozy beds on a very cold night. Log fire a bonus.
Easy to get into the property. Great communication with Maree 🙏
Only three of us staying and two of us had luke-warm water at night showers.

We loved the nostalgic experience of staying in a beautiful family home. The cottage had a sense of warmth, love and care. From the fire going on arrival to the detail in styling embracing the history of the family home, we felt a connection to place.
We will have happy memories of our stay at Dillons Cottage.
The home a small hot water system. We did however appreciate the information provided on site so we took this into consideration and spaced showers out among our small family.

The bed! It was the best bed, better than home!
Bathroom products. Would have been nice to see local ie Washpool products. That’s all.

The cottage is perfectly set up, had everything we needed for an overnighter but you could also comfortably stay for a week. Location is fantastic. Very happy with our choice, will stay here again.

The property was so comfortable & homely, it was like we were in a friends house. We loved the collection of old furniture & knick knacks, was like stepping back in time. Great location & lovely walk into town.

Location was good short walk to centre of Stanthorpe
There was not everything

Very quaint and homely with all the charming features that you'd expect for a 100 year old country cottage! Enjoyed sitting on the front veranda with a cuppa. Also an easy walk down the end of the street for dinner at Anna's Restaurant, followed by a gourmet lunch at Essen (Josie's) Restaurant which was literally across the road from our stay.
Dillons Cottage is a must-do for any traveller seeking a historical experience.
A little stuffy on arrival with a faint smell of moth balls but once we opened some windows and found the pedestal fan it was much better.

What breakfast? A fruit bowl would have been nice . The fruit on the table was plastic.
An interesting old-style cottage experience.
Central location to visit Stanthorpe attractions.
Here's some suggestions to improve the experience of guests:
. Provide a bowl of local fruit
. Less confusing booking arrangements
. Provide a box of tissues
. Ceiling fans or aircon

Lovely cottage in a great quiet location within walking distance of the centre of town. Very clean and loads of character. It has a great working fireplace too that was stocked with wood and ready to go. Very cosy.
Like all old houses you can hear everything through the bedroom walls. That's somewhat unavoidable.

The hospitality, comfort, location, amenities
shower over bath, at 72 it's a tad hard to get in and out, yet it was excellent venue and well supported.

Lovely homey interesting house. Maybe a bit more clear bench space for putting our things - we were self-catering - and some bed lights.

perfect location, lovely cozy cottage
It was all perfect

The cottage was full of country charm and was so comfortable after a long drive. It was in a very quiet location and it was a beautifully fitted out house which felt like home
We would have needed more than the 3 pieces of wood provided to actually have a fire in the fireplace. As it was a Sunday the local IGA did not have any firewood available so that was a disappointment.

My husband with his daughter and grandson had 2 nights at Dillon's Cottage. They seemed to have enjoyed their stay there. Unfortunately the first day was an extremely hot day and they missed having any air conditioning. They were able to stroll in to the town to get supplies for breakfast. It was very close to walk along Quart Pot Creek.

A beautiful cottage, well looked after and maintained. We also appreciated the hosts accomodating us as we were in Stanthorpe for a important family occasion

Good location.
When we arrived there was washing in the dryer still and this went on for over an hour. The cottage was very hot with no fans or aircon and the dryer being on made it even hotter. The bedroom had 1 tiny bedside table, with limited power points. I have a cpap device and it barely fit on it. I also had to get under the bed to plug it in to a power pack. When I did this there was so much dirt and fluff under the bed that I was gobsmacked. The bed firm and very old also. I think if you are charging $150 a night in a small country town, you should at least offer a comfy bed. Finally, the yard and outlook was pretty lousy. It hadn't been mowed in a while, no garden, flowers or upkeep of the yard. Overall the stay was pretty disappointing. Would have stayed elsewhere if we had have known all of this.

The home had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It was delightful, loved the choice of furniture and other items around the home. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck with a drink. Loved the fireplace and the gas heater. A favourite - will have to return.
Everything was wonderful.

Fabulous cottage with so much character. Lovely verandah out back for sunny mornings or out front for relaxing late afternoons. Cosy fireplace for the evenings (& good supply of logs). Everything you need including fully equipped kitchen, hot shower and electric blankets. King size bed was so comfy. Walking distance to Stanthorpe Town centre and Tourist Information office. Great location to explore the Granite Belt region.
Nothing we didn't like.
