Loved the food and drink. Our room was lovely and spacious and well appointed
Only real criticism is that there isn’t enough informal seating areas inside. There are two lovely couches and a few seats in the main bar area but that’s about it rest Otis for dining which I do get as thets where the money is

Absolutely amazing! The whole experience of The Royal Oak is stunning. The staff are wonderful, the room is sizeable with modern touches but still has old-english charm, and the food and drink are top tier. I'm already considering going again. It's in a fairly remote village, so if you're inexperienced at driving on narrow British B-roads, you'll want to take your time getting there, but the location makes the place so peaceful. Probably one of the best places I've ever stayed.

Staff and quality of the food at the price point.
Previous occupant’s clothing left in wardrobe. Dirty wine glass left in draw. Grubby shower cubicle.

"Wow, das Zimmer war so toll! Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit ganz hohen Decken, schön gross, auch das Bad. Alles sehr sauber und gemütlich. Ich habe mich dort extrem wohl gefühlt. Auch der Pub war sehr schön..."
