It is really value of money during holiday season. The host charge is reasonable. Very friendly host that accommodates all the requests. Lovely traditional Japanese breakfast. Room view is fantastic. Location is great which is close to the rental shop and chairlift if open. Close to the shuttle too. Walkable distance to the central area.

Beautiful family run, traditional style guest house. The hosts were extremely helpful during our stay. The whole place was very clean, with a nice Onsen and drying room down stairs too. Location is close to the Karasawa lift, and a manageable ~15 minute walk into the main street - although there are places to eat closer.

like with all ski properties you pay a certain amount relative to amenities, location and size. I couldn’t put a price to the family that runs this property that gives an authenticity to Japan in a place that could easily be like any other standard western hotel. Fantastic views, my favourite Japanese styled breakfast in Japan because of the home made nature and warmness provided by the hosts, piping hot onsens (but do the free local public onsen 200m away as well), hospitality off the charts (picked us up and dropped us to the town centre throughout our stay) and fair convenience to the slopes. Stay here if you want that priceless homestay vibe, a slightly quieter side of the town and a delicious breakfast

my partner slept like a rock but bean bag pillows didn’t rock my world. futon styled bedding I understand is for some and not all but you can definitely double up with blankets to make it softer.

We were greeted by the hostess, who is very nice. We felt welcome right away. We were showed the facilities and our room. Everything is very clean. When we settled in the room, the hostess came to our room with apples and coffee, which is very sweet. We stayed here because of the Fire Festival and we were given the tickets (which were free!). When we left for the festival, the hostess checked if it was raining (which it was) and the lent us umbrella’s (so kind). We booked breakfast. They cooked us specific items (Japanese soup, fish, vegetables and some fruit), very nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Very warm welcome from host, breakfast are delicious and properties are so clean

We loved that it is so clean and warm, including the public spaces. This was our first time in a traditional Japanese room and we quickly embraced the simplicity of the tatami/futon style of sleeping. The bedding was very good quality, and we had the best sleeps, maybe the traditional little pillows have some magic! The family are so committed to their guests and the communication was fine with the help of google translate occasionally. We appreciated the locals discounts on ski passes and hire. And also we had a breakfast and a dinner there, both were amazing. The location is very close to one of the lifts and ski hire places, and an interesting 10 to 15 minute walk into the main part of the village. There is a great okonomyaki restaurant and a really good coffee shop within 5 minutes. The nearest onsen is also 5 minutes and it’s the biggest one in the village. We definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to return one day.
