Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae PREMIER

Very clean & comfy room with a kettle and fridge. GREAT breakfast buffet. Loved the laundry room, but you should be aware that a load takes 2 hours to wash and dry and you cannot remove clothes during that time, so do laundry when you have 2 hours to spare. Staff is excellent. Location is super close to Kyoto Station and you can learn to walk to the station underground, though it is confusing at first. There are information booths at the station if you need help. There is also a gorgeous temple just a half block away.

It's not a luxury hotel, but it met our needs just right.

Great location

This was a brilliant choice! It’s a 3’ walk across to Kyoto Station! It also very close to other forms of transport, restaurants, shops galore, etc. I loved the shutters in the room in typical Japanese door-style and thanks to clever lighting in behind, looked like the sunlight was shining through! I loved the large walk in shower. The breakfast has a good choice of western and Japanese foods.

The bed was a little to hard for me

Unfortunately the room we booked was very small, breakfast was very limited.
