Wow outstanding hosts! The house was a lovely quiet retreat with amazing views. Safe, gated property. Hot shower, towels, bedding. A big supermarket down the road and a beach very close by car. Full kitchen and immaculately clean with extra treats such as water, juice and beautiful home made treats. We would like to return. Our best stay during our trip to Sicily!

The house is huge and perfectly equipped for a long stay. Spaces are well divided and the outdoor area is simply amazing. It is near the town but just outside the chaos, so you get a sense of peace. We spent most of the time relaxing outside plus having a child, we felt safe to have him playing in the patio.There's everything you would need and more, like a real home. Enza and Vito are genuinely welcoming and go the extra mile to make your holiday unforgettable. They are attentive but never intrusive and Enza spoiled us with a few typical Sicilian treats (homemade granita, pignolata and ricotta and chocolate cake) plus she set up our fridge with water/ juices/ iced tea. The house had all cleaning products and toiletries and we were invited to use them, even mosquitoes repellent and electric plugs. We only had to buy food! Also there's a washing machine and last but not least a washing basin which was super handy to wash clothes on the go and get them dry 30 minutes later. As for the location, the house is on the outskirts of Alcamo, a nice town with a lovely corso, for evening walks and full of shops and amenities. The nearest town is Castellammare del Golfo, which is a buzzing hub and only 10 minutes away by car. Near the property , at walking distance, there's a supermarket and a bar. If you have a car you're 10 minutes away from the beaches, either Alcamo Marina or Castellammare del Golfo and at a good starting point to explore the area. I strongly recommend Il Gelsomino and I can't thank Enza and Vito enough for the lovely chats, for taking care of us in such a friendly way and making our holiday just perfect. We will definitely be back.

The view is amazing, looking directly down the hillside at vineyards and olive groves. The location insures that you are surrounded in the peace of the countryside but you are 2 mins drive from supermarkets and about 5 mins to the gorgeous centre of Alcamo and 7 mins to the beach. The hosts are simply amazing. They go out of their way to settle you into their country. They bring a joy and can not do enough for their visitors: Real Sicilian hospitality at its best. The house itself holds 2 couples and 3 singles with two rooms providing the most amazing windows to enjoy the view. The hosts have set up the outdoor area with 3 seating areas for outside life and from these you can get all day sun or sit in the shade. My family loved our time here.
