The room was clean and very nice with a good view
and the location was great. They washed our clothes for us for free which was great and the staff was really nice

The Secret Courtyard is in a small village outside of Guilin but we appreciated the peace and tranquility, plus it was cheap and easy to get a Didi in to the city.
The room was clean and comfortable but the best thing about this place is Liaoming and the staff. He is like a whirlwind, he never stops and he is so attentive and helpful. Infact, all the staff were lovely.
Don't expect a 5 star hotel but I would say that it's definitely a 5 star village guest house.
We were happy with everything.

In Guillim, one of the most beautiful places on God's Earth. Exceptional welcome. Value for money and clearly a favourite of people around the world.
The mirror in the bathroom was too low to be useful - I seldom need to shave my navel.

The staff is so kind, they gave us tea and food at the check-in and also at the check out (banana, water and tissues). The position is 15 minutes by car from the city center but I appreciated the calm and quiet place (which is needed in China)
