Loft House Budapest

Very good location close to everything

As a Shabbat-observant Jew, I was allowed to get a key instead of an electronic card for the room, on the other hand the entrance door to the building is an electric one with a code! We specifically didn't mind leaving because there are a lot of tenants and guests in the building so we just waited outside until someone came in or came in and we went in with them. It is also important to note that in the access hallway to the room there are lights that are turned on by motion sensors, And here it already depends on how you behave halakhically. All in all, it was a very good cost and benefit for a Friday and Saturday stay, very close to synagogues.

The stairs to the bed in the loft were quite short and high.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay and can recommend this apartment without any hesitation. The apartment offers everything a solo traveler could possibly need and would also be perfectly suitable for two people. The large bed was extremely comfortable, and the apartment was equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffee-making facilities, and everything necessary for a pleasant stay. What impressed me most was the location. Although situated in the very center of Budapest, the apartment faces a beautiful inner courtyard and is therefore exceptionally quiet. I slept perfectly every night, could relax whenever I wanted, and was never disturbed by noise. The public transport connections are excellent. Astoria is within easy walking distance, and from there you can reach virtually every part of the city. There are cafés, restaurants, pizzerias, and shops all around the apartment, an ice cream shop directly across the street, and even the famous New York Café just around the corner. A special thank you goes to Ming, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. When I had a problem with the Wi-Fi, he even allowed me to use a computer at the reception desk so that I could follow an important football match. He also provided excellent recommendations for places to visit, including a nighttime walk to the Chain Bridge, where I ended up taking some of my favorite photographs of Budapest. Another gesture that I greatly appreciated was the flexibility regarding check-out. Because of the extreme heat and my late evening flight, I was generously allowed to remain in the apartment until 5 p.m. instead of the usual check-out time. This made my last day in Budapest far more comfortable and stress-free. Everything about this stay was easy, comfortable, and exceptionally well organized. For my four days in Budapest, it was simply the perfect home away from home. I genuinely felt happy staying here and would return without a second thought.

It has two convenience stores right below it.

The smell... It smelled like sweat, and it was all over the hotel, from the courtyard to the hallways to the sheets. The bathroom was claustrophobically small. Bonus weird one: no cutlery. Just one spoon.
