The garden and house itself was lovely. There's a lot of place to relax outside. Its walking distance from Chan Chan ruins, which was great for us. It is really good value for the price.

For almost a full day there was no electricity and also the wi-fi wasn't working for our entire 4 days stay. However, the owner is aware of this internet problem and said it was working on a solution.

Large kitchen with hot water dispenser for making tea. The bedroom was spacious with hooks on the walls and drawers to unpack your stuff in. Comfortable bed, though mattress is on the soft side. The lady stored our luggage and let us wait in the kitchen with access to hot water before our overnight bus. It's walking distance to the Chan Chan museum with buses that take you into town. Quiet area. You can use the washing machine for 6 soles and dry your clothes on the line in the garden. Nice garden with outdoor seating areas.

Pans are old and scratched, some utensils are broken, and knives are blunt though there is a wetting stone. Internet is slow. No curtains on the windows. No towels. No mirrors in either the bathroom or the bedroom.

Great!! Beautiful courtyard area, clean rooms and bathrooms, nice big kitchen, quiet and relaxing, and super helpful staff!

A bit far from the city center or beach, but the bus is easy to catch! Careful when using Google Maps. There is another Chanchan lodge in the city center that shows up on Google Maps. Make sure you go to the “Chanchan CULTURAL lodge” in El Trópico!

Luis and Mercedes were so adorable, they made sure our stay was confortable. The common garden is huge, perfect for chilling and the kitchen has all the amenities. Walking distance from the Chanchan ruins.

Wifi was unstable (either works really well or not at all), far from the beach or the city but not a big deal since it’s easy to grab a bus or a taxi.

This was such a great little place! Very quiet, cozy, comfortable. Possibly my favorite place that I stayed in all of my 3 month stay. Nestled just outside of Trujillo - but great public transportation to get right downtown to the Plaza de Armas. If you are interested in checking out the amazing Chan Chan ruins - this is a perfect location to stay.

We love the big garden, very spacious place to eat and a good kitchen. We also loved the little terrace in front of the matrimonial room :)

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful garden with a very nice and friendly owner. I recommend it :)

Close to Chan Chan ruinas, the security of the place for our bike and ourselves as the area looks shady, the hot water in the bathroom and the sweet dog that loves to play.

The accomodation is in a very quiet and dusty area which has no amenities save for the new cevichera (5mins away) here we had to take breakfast lunch and dinner from because the accomdation does not provide any food or beverage for retail whatsoever. The rooms in the facility were not done and we had to wait for 20mins until our room was 'finished' because the host did not receive our request. The bedroom floor was not washed with water but we were so exhausted from travelling we did not feel like arguing. When we asked for towels we were informed that these were not included in the price, but we were given two of their personal ones for free. During the night we got bitten by bedbugs and mosquitos. An indefinite amount of roosters break the day at early dawn and go on for hours at a stretch. The kitchen lacks hygiene and basic cooking stuff for cooking making it univiting for one to even bother to cook there. The place in general needs major upkeep and cleaning and alot of TLC - its potential is being wasted. The pool was not available.
