First you are greeted by Angelo on his bike and lead to the parking space, before he hoists your suitcase on his bike and escorts you to the flat. Luciana then greets you with some refreshments and a detailed history of the city and also gives excellent tips. We had probably the best pizza in Italy, based on her suggestion. The place was large and well furnished. Like an apartment. It is in the center and all parts are walkable. It was like visiting a favorite aunt and uncle.

The only possible drawback is that many stairs were involved to get to the flat. If you have problems with steps (which would be fatal in Sicily) tell them Beforehand.

The hosts were so friendly and very well-informed about their town. I didn't know about Museo del Satiro Danzante and am so happy Luciana told us about it and we had time to visit. Mazara del Vallo is worth more than the one night we gave it. We also liked the washing machine! As touring cyclists, this is a feature second only to secure overnight storage for our bikes.

The host is a very helpful man, who even guided us on a bike via safe to drive narrow streets to our destination (different than GPS)! The whole location has a spacious interior courtyard with lounge areas filled with tropical plants from which separate living quarters spread out. Ours was upstairs with a sunny patio! Everything clean and comfortable. The incredible history of the place dates back to 1580! The farewell olive oil is delicious.

The Zaccaria are such warm and helpful host and hostess. I had left my jacket at the previous accommodation one and half hour drive away. They contacted the host followed with a lengthy conversation trying to help me find ways to retrieve my jacket. The next day, the hostess Luciana led me to visit the most interesting neighborhoods. I will never forget their warmth and hospitality.

Nothing. Their house is modest but everything works perfectly and the accommodation is very thoughtfully planned out and comfortable. All appliances work, the hot water shower was strong and continuous. The warmth and hospitality of the host and hostess made my stay unforgettable.

The apartment was beautiful and the Arab influence in the apartment's decorations was very strong and truly delightful. The hosts were amazing - they went above and beyond, to help us in every way. They made our trip extremely fulfilling and we cannot wait to stay there again! They deserve the highest praise for their thoughtfulness. The apartment is spacious and very well stocked. It is handy to all sights and is in a great location. A beautiful and memorable experience all round!
