Neff was the best!!!! her guidance concerning our outings, food, island life, culture was incomparable. I cannot recommend this place enough although I wish to keep it secret. it is too good if a gem. love to all the indie beach staff and owners! next time we will catch the show and i'll be bringing our son along! you are magical! love from nyc! cheers xo

Beautiful beachside bungalow, comfortable for 4 persons. Complimentary use of SUP boards, nice daily yoga (extra fee). We joined a super elaborate and tasty Christmas dinner.

The bungalow had no area to eat with 4 people although it was listed in the description. English skills of some staff were minimal.

Everything! The resort is very nice and cozy, decorated with lots of local handcrafts. Friendly staff, awesome food, good location; quiet and beautiful. You could chill out at the beach bar all day but if you get bored, you can borrow SUP boards or snorkels from the bar. There are also yoga session every morning, unfortunately I didn't have time to join during our stay.

The downside is there are lots of ants but I guess that can't be helped because there are so many trees and plants around. The concrete floor in the room could be polished or waxed so it won't get dusty so quick.

Staff were very friendly, the view was amazing from both the restaurant and our bungalow, and it was beautifully decorated. Food presentation and service was great.

The bed was rock solid - like actually the hardest bed I've slept on in Thailand which was really disappointing for the price. Loved the seaview from the bungalow, but booking.com said we had an extra large balcony and in fact we had the smallest of all bungalows and it only just fit 2 chairs and a small table. Restaurant was expensive and lacking in flavour and spice, so would recommend wandering out to one of the local places where it's half the price and you still get an amazing view.

Quality and comfort of the rooms is quite poor. Indie vibe but the finishing of the bathrooms especially need attention - lots of ants and insects in the shower. Furnishings very basic, there isn’t really anywhere to put your clothes even. Overall would expect more for the price

I had quite a lot of ants in my bathroom and they were slowly coming to the room too. Of course you are basically in the jungle but for the price you pay I’d prefer no ants :-)

absolutely nothing!

The resort/Bungalows is a piece of paradise. My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was not enough. The owners Christine and Zu were staying at the resort on the week of our stay and they were the most beautiful and kindred souls you could ever meet. The staff in the resort were incredible always, happy to help you out, especially Neffy who would go the extra mile to make sure that your holiday is perfect. The resort itself has it's own private beach with an incredible view, it is very stylish and made for comfort. The food is incredible, the smoothie bowls are definitely a must try for your breakfast and if you have any allergies such as Coeliac, nuts etc they are great at catering to your needs. They have a diverse choice of food from world fusion to traditional Thai as well as a a variety of cocktails to choose from. The location is close to the nearest town (Bang bao) and walking distance to another pristine beach that has a choice of restaurants and massage if you are feeling like going out. If you would like to rent a bike to drive around the island or to go Scuba Diving Neffy will be able to hook you up with that. One thing you will be able to catch photos of here are the monkey's from the island. You will see them wandering around from time to time (early morning or on the roads throughout the day). This is definitely one of the best places I have been to in my time travelling.

the staff is AMAZING and really welcoming and nice, the location, the breakfast with also some classic Thai cakes, drinks, music. The place has a special energy.

The meals were delicious. When the kitchen got busy, it took a little longer to receive your meal. Sometimes they would run out of ingredients for certain dishes. But I really enjoyed the service and pleasantries from the staff. Always very welcoming! The newly built bungalow that I stayed in was very clean and easily accessible to the restaurant and beach. The friendliness of staff and other guests really made you feel at peace whilst staying there.

As the owners know, it is the only quality restaurant/place to stay in the area/village therefore there is not a lot of choice in terms of places to eat. But it was only a short ride to get to the next village if you wanted to satisfy your needs for other types of food.

The staff were under stress trying to deal with angry guests with no support . They tried to move me from one room to another rudely .which ruined my night The guest house should be closed whilst renovating , there is nothing about this on booking.com . I feel totally ripped off and really angry . I should have received a refund . There was no one to serve breakfast until 9 am , so I had to go elsewhere.

We had the luck to be there on a day with a big reggae live party. The atmmosphere was so great, everyone smiling, dancing, drinking... Also we had the bungalow next to the "dance floor" we had no problems with noise during the night because they closed at 11.30 pm. The food was excellent, and the people working there so nice. It was really a great time there.

The property is really beautiful - lots of nature, a restaurant with a sea view etc. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room is fairly big and looks modern. The location is pretty isolated - you'll definitely need a car/ scooter to explore the island, but has a beautiful beach near by. The restaurant is nice with lots of healthy options (the only place I found on the island with proper vegan/ vegetarian options).

The room is advertised as having a sea view, which is not the case (it has a restaurant view, and the restaurant has a sea view). Also, please be advised that is very close to the restaurant & the kitchen - aka cooking smells in the room and lots of noise. They have concerts at night - so if you need to go to sleep early, there's no chance of actually being able to do that. The windows don't close properly; therefore, you have various critters in the room (ants, geckos, and other insects). The bed is hard & the sheets are low quality. Also, be advised that you can't really swim on the beach in front of the hotel - you'll have to go to a nearby one.

We loved Indie Beach - it was super friendly, informal and yet everything you could need or want. The bungalows were perfect, beds comfy, air-conditioning excellent. The food was fantastic (and we are fussy organic foodie farmers). All staff and owners gave us a warm welcome - and helped with local knowledge and suggestions for making the most of our stay. couldn’t recommend more highly. The live music was fab! Thank you to Gus, Zoo, Chilleen, Chloe, Mr T and Nok and the rest of the gang.

What a magical place! The hospitality, the bungalows, the live music, the delicious vegan food and the jungle vibes to mention a few. Highly recommend to couples looking for a quaint stay but close enough to everything. Thank you Indie for a superb Songkran stay. 🔫💦💚

Best vibes at this place! They have the indie beach vibes perfectly! The staff are so helpful and lovely! The food is amazing and great quality. They happily catered to my food sensitivies. The beds were pretty comfortable (slightly a bit hard for me but only just, we've had some hard beds in Thailand and these were way better). Good air conditioning and shower. They have lots of little touches that make you feel at home. Love the cats and dogs that live there and also the ones that visit. Loved sitting out on the beach watching the sunset. Was like a home away from home for us. We loved our stay and will miss it!

Nothing we didn't like! We loved our stay! Will note, if you don't have a scooter it would be expensive getting taxis all the time as it's at the bottom of the island. Wasn't an issue for us as we had a scooter and we actually loved how quiet and peaceful it was (so not really a dislike for us! But just so people are aware) White Sands is too busy and touristy for us, this part of the island feels more authentic if that's what you're after. Was hard to swim in the beach as there's lots of rocks (especially at low tide) but if you have wet shoes won't be an issue and plenty of other beaches to swim at! Again not an issue for us as the area and vibes out way having scooter to a different beach.
