Sometimes, you meet people while travelling whom you will never forget… 🌴🇲🇻 What a special place Athiri Beach Maldives on Dhigurah is! 🏝️💙 Unfortunately, I became very ill during my dream holiday in the Maldives. What was supposed to be a beautiful ending to my trip suddenly turned into a very difficult and frightening experience. But it was during this time that I discovered just how special the people at Athiri Beach truly are. ❤️ The owner and the entire team did absolutely everything they could to help and support both my sister and me. They helped us with medical care and expenses, allowed us to extend our stay free of charge when I was too ill to travel, and made sure we had everything we needed. From fresh coconuts, drinks and fruit to anything else we needed or wished for, they were always there for us. 🥥🍉💧 But it wasn't just the practical help that meant so much to us. It was their warmth, genuine concern, kind words and the way they continuously looked after us. They did everything they could to make this difficult situation a little easier for us. That is so much more than hospitality. That is genuine human kindness. ❤️ To the owner and the wonderful team at Athiri Beach: from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! 🙏🏽 You made us feel that we were not alone, even though we were thousands of kilometres away from home. Something we will never forget. A beautiful hotel on a paradise island, but above all, a place filled with people who have hearts of gold. I truly hope I will be able to return to Dhigurah one day, this time to enjoy everything the beautiful Maldives has to offer and, of course, to see all of you again. If you are ever planning a trip to Dhigurah in the Maldives, I can wholeheartedly recommend Athiri Beach. Not only because of its beautiful location, but above all because of the wonderful people who make this place so special. Ich war mit meinem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Die Mitarbeiter waren durchweg höflich, freundlich und äußerst hilfsbereit. Besonders positiv fand ich, dass immer wieder nachgefragt wurde, ob man etwas benötigt oder ob alles in Ordnung ist. Man hat sich als Gast wirklich willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Der Service war hervorragend und ist definitiv weiterzuempfehlen!

Schöner Aufenthalt im Athiri Beach, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr gastfreundlich und haben alle unsere Wünsche immer umgesetzt. Lage des Hotels ist klasse, auch das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Wir haben nichts zu kritisieren, alles entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Vielleicht wäre ein Fön in den Zimmer noch sinnvoll, aber das ist ja auch kein wirkliches Problem.

Location

Our stay at Athiri Beach Maldives was good in terms of location and cleanliness. The property is well located and meets basic expectations in those aspects. However, we had an uncomfortable experience regarding the payment process. The hotel does not charge through Booking, but instead collects payment directly on-site. In our case, the reservation showed a total of $493 for 4 nights, but upon arrival we were asked to pay $751, including additional charges labeled as taxes that were not clearly specified or broken down in advance. Additionally, the cost of the speedboat transfer was included in that same invoice, bringing the total to $818.75. Later, the return transfer to Malé was charged separately in a second invoice, again with additional fees. After speaking with other guests staying in different guesthouses, we found that some of them had their payments processed directly through Booking, without such significant differences in the final price. We understand that taxes and extra costs may apply, but we believe this information should be clearly stated at the time of booking. This allows guests to make an informed decision and avoids unexpected charges upon arrival. In our case, this lack of clarity regarding the final price affected our overall perception of the stay.
