The BREAKFAST HOTEL Fukuoka Tenjin

We loved the lobby/breakfast dining area being available with pear juice, coffee and tea. So refreshing! Also appreciated their willingness to store our luggage after check out, and allow us to continue to use the lobby and restrooms as "home base" during the midday until our train left in the afternoon. Also enjoyed the breakfasts (especially the puddings, potato salad, and fish offerings).

room, location and staff service was ok. We did like the lobby where we can bring in food to eat.

Breakfast was excellent - and given they are called the Breakfast hotel - no qualms there - so much variety to choose from.

I was on the far corner of the 9th floor - and the WiFi didn't really stretch that far - kept dropping out. It was far better in the lobby. The room had a musty smell - had to have the reverse cycle aircon on all the time to get rid of the smell. Probably because they only have passive ventilation in the bathroom, and there is a sign on the bathroom door asking for the door to be shut when having showers as you could set off an alarm if the steam enters the room. Oh, and the mattress springs twanged a lot moving around on the bed - it was OK - just don't expect a great mattress.
