The location, the space, the shower (very good and hot for a caravan!) The early check in and the reasonable price. Overall it was a good stay. For four people there is plenty of space and we were comfortable and warm. Site is well located and we found it to be quiet. Outside pool was heated and the kids enjoyed the slide. Thoroughly recommend the bike hire, staff so helpful and friendly and lots of cycle routes. We didn't use any of the other facilities but they looked average.

Some comments others have made are true, it is a little grubby and smells a bit damp (the bathroom and the single bed closest to the outside wall) Three things that would instantly improve it; steam clean the sofas, upgrade the knives and forks, provide a toaster big enough for a slice of bread.

Location of site and there was a decent space between caravans where our Gatcombe 7 caravan was.

First flush of the toilet didn’t drain away as it was blocked by the previous occupant with a sanitary t pad. Had to do emergency call and a night time security man successfully unblocked it for us.

Convenient location, close to amenities

What we did like about the property was its location, as it was close to where we needed to be, which was really convenient. The caravan park itself had plenty going on, with an arcade, food places, swimming facilities and other activities to enjoy. The caravan itself was also pretty spacious, which was a positive and gave us plenty of room during our stay. The shower was also powerful and nice and hot, which we really enjoyed.

Unfortunately, the caravan wasn’t as clean as we expected. When we arrived, there was a noticeable musky smell, which immediately made the place feel unclean. The shower had mould, and there were old products left behind, including a used bar of soap. We also found rubbish underneath the black bin bag. Overall, we felt it was necessary to clean and wash everything before using it, as it didn’t seem like the caravan had been properly cleaned before our arrival. This was disappointing and definitely affected our stay. The entertainment also needs updating, especially for the late evenings. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, and it was still using a DVD player, which felt quite outdated. Having a smart TV or more modern entertainment options would have made the evenings much more enjoyable. I hope the cleanliness and entertainment facilities are improved for future guests.
