Gute Kommunikation mit Fabiana, top Lage und schöne Aussicht.

The apartment is in the heart of Lapa, a vibrant and interesting part of Rio. Santa Teresa is nearby and two metro lines, Gloria and Cinelândia, are within a kilometre. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchenette was well equipped with pots and pans and cutlery and cooking utensils. I brought my own air fryer, which meant I could pretty much cook anything I liked. Small but really nice and comfortable with working air conditioner and decent internet. Fabiana, the host, was very responsive when I asked about anything. The place is very secure but easy to get in and out, even when there is no doorman present.

The internet was mostly good but occasionally it would lag a bit, especially when it rained, common in Brazil. The place is quite small but all the cupboards and drawers were already full so I couldn’t put my things away, I lived out of my suitcase instead, which was fine. There was renovation work going on in a nearby apartment when I was there and the builders were very noisy, using angle grinders to cut tiles by the open window instead of a quieter tile cutter. Completely unnecessary and very inconsiderate. But this had nothing to do with the host and I guess that’s the luck of the draw sometimes.

This is a great studio apartment - perfect for friends or a couple. We felt safe in the neighborhood and were able to walk to many several touristic spots. There are several good bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and grocery stores nearby. Fabiana is an excellent host!
