The apartment was clean and the photos from Booking were accurate. Location is central, nice restaurants & bars and promenada can be easily accessed by foot.

The apartment is located at the 6th floor of a huge block building. It has a small elevator used by so many neighbours and you always need to be careful to close the inside doors when leaving it. There is also a poster at the entrance of the apartment underlining the fact that elevator’s doors should be closed, otherwise there will be a penalty of 50 eur…. When going up and down on the stairs I didn’t see this sign to any other apartment, so maybe the penalty is pretty specific… At the same number there is another apartment. Common areas: a very small lobby and a facilities room, with a washing machine. This set up was unfortunate for us because on the first night the noise made by washing machine was annoying and, worst, on the 2nd night the people from the other apartment were making huge noise (shouting, playing music loud, slamming the doors really loud) in the middle of the night… At check in the host told us that she usually requires a deposit for the apartment, but she will not require this time from us. I didn’t find this information at booking, maybe didn’t pay enough attention, but honestly the apartment was really overpriced as offering the minimal, so no deposits or penalties were justified.

the property was modern and had a good bed and facilities. There was no blanket, so when requested the host dropped it off the next evening. The host was helpful with recommendations for the area.

The host was very nice, however expected a cash deposit of €850 on arrival. I asked her to take a block on my card, but she couldn’t so we arrived home at 10:30pm at night to find her on the doorstep wanting cash and a copy of our passports. For check out we agreed to meet back at the apartment at 12:30. I went for lunch and came back to find the host already in the apartment going through it, with my bags and handbag left in there. No message from her to say she was there or could she enter. This was so unacceptable. You don’t just access the room without the person who’s hired it. i had left my packed handbag, passport and luggage in the place unlocked because I thought it was safe and I would be back to meet her. I paid a cleaning fee for this place, yet when I was asking for my cash bond back she was going around checking I had cleaned all the dishes etc. well, I always clean and strip the beds anyway, but regardless there was no damage I should have been given my money right away. Apparently booking through air bnb means you don’t have to carry this large amount of cash for a bond, so booking.com should find another way to insure their bookings. it’s not exactly the town you want to walk around with that much cash in your wallet.

Great location, stunning sunset views! Spacious apartment equipped with all you need. Host is super professional and very nice with great tips for wining, dining, and getting around. Last but not least: impeccable hygiene!

omg the deposit. The owner wanted a deposit in cash of nearly the same amount of the stay. That is super inconvenient. Booking should sort this out before the guests arrives . They have my credit card! If something is broken, just charged it or better: get insurance!!
