The staff is offsite and very accommodating. I got lost and they had to wait an extra hour to let me in. They let me check out remotely without scheduling an appointment (if you want to do that pay the deposit with a credit card). They speak English very well. The building is older, but the apartments are newly refurbished and clean. The apartment is a 10 minute walk from a metro station, 2 stops on the red line from the main train station. It is not next to any electrical infrastructure facilities, not next to a transportation hub, and not in an area where mostly foreigners stay... so in the current environment I felt safe. There is an inner and outer door, so you sleep behind 2 locked doors with different keys. The immediate neighborhood is beautiful, has a wide variety of shops, and is an easy walk or metro ride from a lot of sites.

Finding the apartment is difficult because the address is not consistently marked in US map applications. Google Maps put me 20 minutes away by car. Apple Maps put me a 5 minute walk away. The location is off a street down an alley / small cul de sac. The owner said there are pictures and directions on Booking.com but I did not find them using my phone. Perhaps add GPS coordinates to the property description in lieu of an address. The site is near the Globus Mall. The Kozatskiy Hotel maps correctly. From there walk uphill / North on the large street (Mykhailivska), and turn right before the top when you see a Japanese restaurant with a large wood deck. Pass a tattoo parlor and the building is on your right. The apartment is on the 5th floor, and is served by a small and old elevator, so if you can't walk up stairs... perhaps you need a hotel with a generator. The stairs are very wide and it easy to carry luggage up and down.

Great location. Staff is not present at the property, but they are excellent about answering the phone and they spoke perfect English. The place is spotless. Great view. Small free parking lot behind the building, but I usually found a spot. If there are no spots, there's plenty of parking on the street also for free. There's a code for the main door so you can get inside the building, but you need keys for the apartment door and another interior door. Shared laundry.

It's a bit difficult to find though staff gave excellent directions. This isn't just ONE apartment. They manage many properties so you never know which one you can get. Ask for details/photos prior to booking. If you go through Booking.com there's no way to tell which unit you will get.

Unfortunately, there was no hot water, it was just little bit warm.

The bed was extra comfortable, would like to have spent more nights there :) Excellent host and staff.

You should be patient to get the hot water. It takes time and I would have liked to have a warning before getting into shower.

I was given a completely different, and far worse room, than was shown in the listing. It then took about a hundred messages to get them to accept that the listing is completely misleading, and finally I got a refund.
