The property is wonderful! Lots of great facilities including a wonderful pizza night every week with an amazing pizzaiolo/pizza maker! Some of the best pizza I've had! They also have a wonderful local Chef with tasty salentino dishes for dinner. We had a wonderful stay and if you're looking for a relaxing location close enough to the beach without being on the crowded Italian beaches so that you can get some peace and quiet, definitely one to consider! This was my second visit, and still had a great time. Will be back!

The staff is young, but very eager to please so with a bit more experience I think the team can be excellent. Oh and they had a minor technical issue with the tv, but since we came to be outdoors, not an issue!

The air conditioning in the room was weak

very poor service (no waiter service, no luggage service), air conditioning in the room did not work in a 30 degres heat , TV did not work, huge water leaks in the bedrooms after it rained, pool umbrellas were broken and they didn’t think to change or buy new ones, very noisy generator making noise all night and kept us up, no activity proposed, overpriced food, very basic breakfast. In summary, NOT a 5 star hotel.

We loved the staff, extremely attentive and while some are young and maybe inexperienced, they are clearly driven and learning. The concierge was particularly on the ball with our requests for activities, making excellent recommendations, from boat tours nearby to even helping us select from the selection of cooking classes available at the Castle of Ugento. In the end we selected two, traditional pugliese and gelato making class. Next time, when we stay for longer, we'll try the other ones! And the dinner served in the Castle's restaurant was amazing! We highly recommend it to anyone in the area. We're already looking forward to our next visit!!

While the location wasn't as secluded as I may have liked, once you enter the property, it's like a little oasis of peace and calm. This more than satisfies what we were looking for, a place to relax.

Fabulous family-friendly venue; the staff were so wonderful, far beyond what could ever be hoped for. Literally like staying with family, an absolute delight. The food was fantastic and rustic - exactly what we wanted - absolute authenticity guaranteed (half board was a great choice, we were never once even remotely disappointed). The hotel is very small and therefore everyone knows you, which, again, is exactly what we wanted. Nothing was ever too much trouble; whether it was organising day trips for us and our grandchildren to the incomparable beaches (you'd think you were at the Maldives - incredible), cave boat trips and all the rest. Fabulous pool and sun lounger area, with showers etc., never too busy and, again, Claudio's amazingly attentive service was never far away (Claudio deserves special mention here - what a lovely kind man, he was the star of our holiday). We'll definitely be back - what a hidden gem.

To be honest the aircon in our room didn't seem to be 100% but we just didn't have the heart to say anything about it because everyone was so lovely and couldn't do enough for us all. (I'm sure this was just a minor glitch because there was no such issue in our daughter's room, nor in any of the corridors or excellent little gym.

The staff is very welcoming specially Claudio who was extremely dedicated to our well-being. The hotel is beautiful, food is gorgeous and the hotel has a lunch and dinner option at a very good price. The place is super clean. There is a window on the outside on their kitchen which made us feel in ratatouille!

There was a regional issue with the Wi-Fi which left us with no internet during the whole stay. I would expect a hotel of this category to provide temporary modems for the guests.
