Good location friendly staff and good breakfast. Very quiet at night time when bar closed.

Room a bit tired.

The breakfast at The Dirty Bottles Hotel was excellent. There were many choices for both a cold breakfast and a cooked breakfast, and Chris and Natalie brought the food promptly. The local sausages were delicious both for dinner and for breakfast. The location of the hotel was excellent. The famous Alnwick Castle was just up and around the corner, and it only took a short walk to get to the famous Barter’s Books used bookstore in a huge retired railway station. There were lots of little shops and monuments to explore along the way. I was glad I walked down the long hill - and trudged back up - so that I could walk across the famous nearby Lion Bridge and take a picture of the lion. Jen who checked me in and made sure I was doing well throughout my four night stay was friendly, encouraging and helpful, and I loved my large, quiet attic room and bathroom.

The sound from the bar below on the Saturday night however it closed at 11.00pm so ok for us.

Location was great, really close to the centre. Room was quiet (apart from bathroom fan)

Bathroom had bad drain smell and bath fan was very loud and long. Mattress wasn’t the comfiest for us personally and the bed frame was very oddly shaped for the space, we kept stubbing toes and couldn’t lean back against the headboard for reading before bed ect. Breakfast was standard chain breakfast, nice but nothing to write home about.
