Location is the first point, 360 degree views of the coast and Etna. Just the crickets at night. Fantastico!
The road up and the driveway are a challenge but you soon get used to it. We arrived in pitch darkness which added to the challenge.
Highpoints, Etna hike up to Filosofo crater, hike up to Castelmola, Alcantara gorge, Taormina Town, Taormina Beach and the Isola Bella. Plenty to fill up a week.
Kitchen is primitive and dated, we would have liked to cook more.
The garden lights didn't have a switch, we wanted temporary darkness to see the stars and thunder storm.
Wasps, made it virtually impossible to eat outside during the day, but OK in the evenings.
All minor points.

Extraordinaire !

This Villa is spectacular. Words cannot explain what a true gem this place is. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The views from the Villa are breathtaking. If you really want a place to unwind and relax this is the perfect place. The route to the Villa is not easy however it is worth it!
