We stayed here almost a month-
Very niiice. Any major concerns we had- were taken care of right away which we greatly appreciated. We recommend staying here.
The pictures and descriptions are spot on.
We would recommend updating the refrigerator, dishes and pots n pans...but everything is functional
The dishwasher definitely needs to be replaced-if sounds like a freight train because the deal is too loose.
But it functions just fine...
Good air conditioning and washer and dryer!!!
Maintenance people were very friendly and helpful.
We would stay here again if in the area!
The beautiful beach is across the street !

The property is very nice and comfortable. Instead of exchanging gifts we choose to spend the holiday together in Costa Rica and the Casa Barracuda was an excellent choice. The host was very responsive which helped a great deal.

The place had a great vibe right across from the beach. Even better for surfing but great for anyone. The staff was friendly and helped us with our needs, like booking activeties. Thinking we'll be back next year.

House and property exactly like pictured. House very clean , yard and pool fabulous! Walking distance to beach , right across the street and your feet are in sand. Black sand beach , big waves for surfing, not really a swimming beach . Their are many beaches close by for swimming . We enjoyed playa mantas, and of course the beach at Manuel Antonio. We took surf lessons from Jaco Surf school, they were wonderful and very reasonably priced . We also enjoyed the El Miro Ruins( it’s free except for parking ) , the Tarcoles bridge and exploring nearby beaches . A car is nice to have. We enjoyed Vida Hermosa restaurant near the house and and El Chicano Mexican food downtown Jaco. The property manager Askel was wonderful, she was very quick to respond if we needed anything and to answer questions, thank you Askel! We did have two nights of short power outages that Askel remedied asap, we were glad we had brought flashlights. Otherwise a wonderful stay, highly recommend!

We had an amazing week. The house was exactly as listed but even cleaner than I expected. The pool was clean and my kids loved it. We couldn’t have found a better house. The beach had a crazy undertow so we couldn’t swim but the property manager, Askel, gave us a recommendation for a nearby beach that was incredible! Check in and out were a breeze. There were a bunch of restaurants within walking distance but bring a flashlight for the walk home. No lights on the private way. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Costa Rica.

Extremely well kept, pool cleaned daily. I counted 15 steps from gate and my feet are in the sand. Close to town of Jaco.

We had a great time at this house the pool was so refreshing after a long hot day out exploring it was very clean and the kitchen was real nice and had everything you need also, having a washer and dryer in the house was great!

We took a multigenerational trip for Spring Break the on property pool and the super quick walk to the beach was great!! There are restaurants close enough to walk and location is great for close proximity to national parks.

Beautiful home! The inside was clean and spacious. Everything was exactly as described. The pool was perfect, balcony overlooking the yard and across the street to the ocean. A short 10-15 minute drive to downtown Jaco, located in a quiet neighborhood with beach access. We loved every minute of our stay here! We were a family of six staying here - two boys under 6 years, parents, and grandparents. Highly recommend!

Overall we enjoyed the home. Any issues were quickly resolved and the location is close to Jaco, but very quite and relaxed.

Too close to the beach
We loved everything about this property, but a little too close to the beach. We got nervous at high tide. Temporary flooding outdoors ruined the pool and blocked access to the car. We left a day early. It was too bad, because I could have seen myself staying at this great house forever!

Villa Baracuda
Beautiful house in a quiet and great location, Lots of wildlife around, the Greeter, Security Guard, Pool Guy and Gardener where all great as well. would definitely recommend.

A Surfer's Dream
This house boasts spacious living inside and out. Just steps from the shore and short travel to new adventures. The house is situated on a quiet road allowing the sounds of local birds to replace the rumble of traffic. You will be surrounded by lush greenery, ocean breezes and a few local animals! We found the home supper clean and well managed. Askel was very helpful in recommending local shopping, dining and entertainment.

Beautiful property in Hermosa. The house has a great outdoor living space situated around a pool and it is just a few steps across the road to the beach. The house is well-maintained and clean. There's multiple surf breaks right across the street and within walking distance and it's only a 10-minute drive or less to the main breaks in Hermosa and the restaurants on the beach.

I couldn't have pictured a more perfect swing for my first time to CR. The house was big, clean and beautiful. Every morning woke up to birds and iguanas. The pool was warm just like the nearby ocean. I would definitely return. Thank you Askiel for the accommodations!

Casa Barracuda
We spent a wonderful week at this property and were very sad to leave. It is in a great location with convenient access to Jaco but with plenty of privacy and a quiet beach. The property manager and staff were very helpful. This was our first visit to Costa Rica. We fell in love with the people there and will be back soon. This is a great property that exceeded our expectations. The sunsets are amazing.

We booked this home last minute after our flights were cancelled back to the US. The owner was quick to respond to us even though is was only the night before. Excelente ubicación, comoda y relajante
La casa es muy cómoda e ideal para hospedarse en época de pandemia. Tiene todo lo que se necesita para no tener que salir de ahí y los restaurantes y supermercados locales hacen entrega a domicilio. La piscina es muy cómoda y cruzando la calle está el mar. Askel, nos recibió de manera muy cortes y siguiendo todo el protocolo recomendado por las autoridades de salud. La limpieza de la casa es impecable.

A fantastic beachfront getaway.
If you like being close to the beach right next to some amazing surfing, this is the place for you. The house and the amenities were great. Askel and the security staff were very friendly and informative, and we could not have been more comfortable in a home away from home. The sleepy, laid back community if Playa Hermosa is a welcome getaway from the chaos of Jaco while being close enough to have the best of both worlds if you have a car. There are some good restaurants within 5 minutes if you don't want to cook, and a full kitchen if you just want to cook some fresh seafood with your family after a day out on the water. Our 4 year old loved the pool and had endless home entertainment on the TV that has Cable, Netflix, Apple TV, and more connected. The internet was also very fast for Costa Rica for dad who needed to work a little. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay for our group of 6. We would rent here again.

This property was great. This was my second time in Playa Hermosa but my first renting this property, and I would absolutely recommend it. It is very likely that I will rent this property again in the future.
The house itself is well set up, it is clean, and everything is in good working order. The pool is probably the #1 feature of this home and my group definitely spent some time in it. The air conditioning made sure we were comfortable while inside and at night, etc...
Meeting with Gabriel was easy and comfortable. He showed us everything to do with the house, answered all of our questions, and gave us some helpful information.

Fantastic house in great location
We loved the views from the balcony. The house was perfect and very well maintained. I can't say enough about Gabriel. He took time to describe all the activities in the area.
If you're a surfer you will enjoy uncrowded waves across the street. Thanks for a memorable trip!

Beautiful setting but needs updates
Location is beautiful. Walk across the street to beach - surfing beach only. Fun to watch the surfers. Pool is lovely. House needs some updates or I would have given 4-5 stars. Dishwasher not working. No cleaning supplies in kitchen so we could wash our dishes. We had to go to Jaco and buy cleaning supplies and washer detergent. Mattresses definitely need an upgrade. The new house owner needs to update the written instructions and directions to the house. They are outdated. WiFi was not very reliable. Would go out frequently. Air conditioning worked fine. Workers and security guard super nice. Lots of local wildlife around- Scarlet Macaws, Iguanas, Tiger Herons, Pelicans, Crabs etc

Perfect house - exactly like the pictures.
We loved our stay. The house was great. Such a great spot. The local restaurants in Playa Hermosa were so great. You probably need a car or bike to stay at this place to get anywhere.
The house had some issues; ice maker didn’t work in the fridge and made a horrific noise. It was going to get fixed, but apparently not while we were there, but not that big of a deal. We couldn’t get the bbq working either. I tried to get someone to come help us out and got no response.
I still give this place 5 stars. It was so beautiful and perfect. Everyone was so nice just a lackadaisical attitude toward certain things.

We had a great time at La Casa Barracuda
We spent 8 nights in June 2018 at La Casa Barracuda and we loved it! It was my wife and our 4 kids (12 -18 years old). I couldn't imagine a better location with the beach literally 15 steps from the back gate of the yard and the beach was great for surfing and boogie boarding. The house had everything we needed, from the full kitchen to the BBQ out on the back patio. I was able to get work done on my laptop with the wifi. It's not blazing fast, but it was good enough that I was able to stay caught up at work. Air conditioning works great as well. We would stay there again!
