Review of the stay of Christina McKerracher and three others at 81 Centurian Square, York, YO1 6DE Booking Reference: 6087409466 Our party of four hired your property at 81 Centurian Square, York, YO1 6DE from 29 September 2026 until 2 October 2026. We arrived at the premises and after a short wait we were shown into the apartment by a young man who quickly handed over door keys and a parking disc for our vehicle that permitted access to the car park next to the apartment. He then left stating we should get in touch if there were any problems. The apartment is in an excellent location for York city centre, it was very clean and has two good sized bedrooms with a good-sized kitchen, dining, living area. There is a small area outside the garden bedroom that has a table with four chairs that we used to sit in the warm sunshine while we were there. All in all, the apartment comfortably met our needs. However, there were a list of disappointing, annoying and unnecessary matters that we came across that lessened our overall enjoyment of the accommodation and tainted our view of the apartment’s value for money. The really disappointing thing was that all these matters have been raised before in Reviews and Feedback but have obviously Not been addressed even although they would take the owner a few hours to rectify with a handful of bulbs, a bit of typing and the replacement of the faulty and dangerous to health fridge/freezer. The following is a list of the matters we came across as we used the facilities during our stay. Hopefully by listing them and bringing them clearly to the attention of Booking.com and the owner, they will finally be addressed and the full utility of the apartment will be brought up to the excellent standard it deserves to exhibit. NOT WORKING 1. Outside light at front entrance. 2. Lights under kitchen cabinets no bulbs. 3. Shaving light in ensuite of Garden bedroom. 4. Ceiling light in Garden bedroom ensuite. 5. Bulb in Cooker Hood.

It was in a great location for a city break to York. The two bedrooms were well sized and the beds comfortable. The flat was very clean.

Loved the living room! Nicely decorated and nice tv. Handy and rare to get parking in York so that was great. Overall very comfy

To be honest small things- the ensuit toilet seat is broken/ loose and I can see that has been previous feedback but still not fixed. Check in instructions were not given until I called numerous times and then I was told it’s because I hadn’t given a time. This was despite me messaging and asking for instructions in the morning before arriving. To be honest even if it was said that the instruction is to call then that would have made sense. But we got to the property a bit confused. There was no hot water at one point and we had to turn the boost on and wait 30 mins for the tank of water to heat. This was sorted pretty quickly but for £200 a night I hope this isn’t a running issue for the place

Very clean and comfortable with everything you would need.

The built in fridge door did not fully close which meant every time you opened the door you were left with water on the floor. Also the waste bin had seen better days inasmuch as it was very rusty.

Lots of things looking worn/tired Toilet door handle is broken therefore got locked in loo Bedding worn and cheap Iron broken and leaked water everywhere Drain like smell kept appearing Microwave rusty and looked awful so we didn’t use it . Doors don’t shut properly Shower head in bathroom was dirty so we cleaned it before using For the money we paid would have expected better quality and maybe a welcome pack of some sort .
