Ecolodge Playa Brava Teyumakke

I took an Uber from Santa Marta to the Calabazo entrance, which cost around 140k. At the entrance, there was a 5k fee, and about a minute later we paid the park entrance fee of 102k per person for a two-night stay. The hike to Playa Brava is 8,3 km, and we completed it in exactly 2 hours and 30 minutes (we are reasonably fit and took only a few short breaks). The route includes several steep climbs and descents, with approximately 500 meters of elevation gain, so be prepared to get completely soaked in sweat (there are motors/horses available to bring you). However, Playa Brava is absolutely worth it. The area is spacious and uncrowded, with only eight villas, a few tents, and some hammocks. I would definitely recommend staying for two nights so you can relax and fully enjoy the surroundings. We stayed in a beach villa with a private bathroom, which was excellent. It is a bit pricey, but it truly feels like being on a remote island. The Wi-Fi is good, but it is only available three times a day for two-hour periods. There is no mobile phone signal. The meals were good and reasonably priced at around 50-60k, while beers cost about 10k. On the way back, I took the public bus from the Calabazo entrance to Santa Marta, which was easy and cost only 10k.

You can walk to a waterfall, its a 20min walk but in september there was not much water so not really worth it. One thing to keep in mind is the heat. There is no AC or Fan in the room, we slept with the windows and doors open, but there was barely any breeze, so be prepared for very hot nights.

Tolles Resort in besonderer Lage, muss man sich erwandern, ist es aber wert. Familienhaus direkt am Strand war grandios.

This was a gorgeous stay with a private beach. It was very secluded and special. The staff were all very friendly and we would have wanted to stay longer
