Location was great and it was so quiet in the woods- loved it . Breakfast was also brought to the room so it was a winner not having to go to ‘ a hotel restaurant’ type of thing. It was peaceful

The noise- this should be classed as a Homestay or B&B, not a retreat. I didn't realise its a family home. When I arrived at 5pm I tried to go for a nap after a long working week and journey I was looking forward to the quiet of a "retreat" but could not due to children shouting and crying ( unsure if guests children or the children that live there), a ball being bounced against a wall and owners dogs barking continuously- they are roaming round the garden and bark when you leave/ enter. Noise was the same the next morning and I was woken very early by the kids and then dogs barking later

The whole experience was excellent

The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean, had a coffee making facility, a table and chairs so I could work, read and enjoy my morning coffee. plus an ensuite bathroom. I did not use the television, but it was there. The owners were very helpful. Two evenings I went for a walk and the surroundings were beautiful.

The signpost at the gate was a bit small. Personally I would make it bigger. Arriving in the evening when it is dark makes the location difficult to find for a mainland European not used to small Irish roads.

The land was beautiful and a great place to bring dogs. the house itself was very spacious and staff was incredibly friendly. We will be back to experience the yoga classes.

The sink and the tea maker were a little dirty but the rest of the room was fantastic.

absolutely gorgeous! tucked into the woods a bit so seems very private. the rooms were beautiful and had great views (would be lovely to see the gardens in the springtime!). staff were very friendly and helpful!

we had some issues with our toilet. first, we’re American and learned that toilets in Ireland take a little longer for the water to fill back up. however, it seemed there was some actual toilet trouble because they had the plumber out the day before. honestly, the amount of times we couldn’t flush it and then the owner came in and had no problem… it was probably just us… :)
