Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Roppongi

Just 2 min walk from the metro entrance, 5min walk from the closest mall and in the middle of Tokyo Midtown offering a great variety of places to eat and shop. The hotel has everything you need because you will spend the most of the time outside.

Breakfast is a little bit poor, none “charcuterie” or cheeses offered, and bread is also very limited. Room space is limited but we managed with 2 big suitcases and 2 carry ons. Big ones were empty and placed under the bed.

The location was ideal, close to the metro with several lines to iconic areas in Tokyo, including a great view of Tokyo tower just round the corner. There is a lot of clubs, bars, and a main road outside so it can be noisy but nothing that was disruptive to our stay. The air con was welcomed in the Sept heat and humidity. We enquired about luggage transfer for our next location and the staff on the desk were extremely helpful, ultimately our plans changed and we didn’t use it but it was very appreciated.

These aren’t dislikes but more an FYI for future guests; the pj’s provided all seemed to be one size (I couldn’t see any guide S-XL), so if you’re on the plus end don’t be expecting to fit them. I did bring my own nightwear so it wasn’t a problem. The rooms are very small. We had 2 large cases for 2 people and when one case was opened there was little room to open the other never mind move around the room.

the toilet has a weak scent of stench from time to time, i dont know where it comes from, but it's unpleasant when you do smell it. ALSO THERE IS CONSTANT NOISE, from the fan in the toilet (it's 24/7 and i cannot turn it off) and from the traffic outside. I guess the hotel room is not very sound-proof, so even at midnight the traffic outside is very noticeable. They offer earplugs at front desk - though i would prefer not to wear earplugs when sleeping.
