Onyado Nono Nara Natural Hot Spring

Facilities were amazing, location perfect and beautiful onsen. Clean rooms, no shoes at all- shoe locker. Organised and easy to do laundry and make tea etc

I was travelling solo and was given a terrible, super cramped room that was very noisy due to trains frequently passing close by. But luckily they had a vacant room and I could change, for an extra fee. I would not have been able to sleep otherwise. This new (double) room was much, much better, very decent for the price, quieter and with much more room for my suitcase etc, and comfy beds. I had a good sleep there. I can not imagine who in the world would be happy with the small, noisy original room, it was terrible. So if booking I would make sure you do not get a room near the train line!

The Onsen ( included in the price) was chlorinated, and clear, so I expect it was just town water, perhaps with some minerals added. It was not a hot spring. Nice, but disappointing after so many lovely Onsen experiences in Japan. The hotel itself was large, lots of staff and guests. I should have researched more and found something to suit my tastes.
