lovely, clean rooms with great food and beer

hosts were so accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was incredible!

Comfy, cosy and friendly!

Lovely old building full of character, fantastically friendly staff, the owners are superb, the room was beautiful and comfy, fabulous beer garden to sit in, the breakfast was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely reccomend a stay!

We didn't have mugs in our room for tea and coffee, but that's forgivable!

Fantastic

Hospitality and the food. Wonderful family run pub who will go above and beyond to make your stay a good one. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended

Location for work (HPC) it wasn't far in all honesty, but there are closer locations.

Superb

Friendly, welcoming , log burning stoves, cheerfully decorated for Christmas , good food ( whole baked mackerel especially) and beers - both locally sourced, cosy bedrooms and spotless shower rooms. Lovely stroll down the lane to the beach. We were very impressed.

Lived up to expectations. Great pub food.

Lovely decor, lovely garden, lovely staff and really great food - and all near beautiful countryside!

The road was close but it didn't keep us awake.

Ok stay but not blown away as it was pricey

Not too far from wedding we were attending Nice and helpful staff Very good Breakfast Room adequate but see below.

Remote and isolated. Difficult to get taxis or taxis very expensive. Quote £70 for 8 mile, 15 minute journey. Room ok but noisy from traffic as on busy through road. No air conditioning and dog smells in hallway.

We wouldn't hesitate to return to the Hood Arms or recommend it to others.

Breakfast menu gave a good choice of cereals and cooked . We didn't feel rushed. The tables were well spaced apart and the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly.

We had two or three steps up once inside the bedroom. That led to a slight concern regarding safety when using the bathroom at night without lighting. We would have preferred a room on the level.

Traditional inn with a warm welcome

Welcoming host and all staff.Excellent spacious room with modern decor yet country inn ambience. Very large bathroom with an excellent walk in shower. Good choice of beer and food for an evening meal. Well cooked breakfast

Relaxing and cost stay

Very attractive country pub nicely furnished and very cost. The owner was friendly and very helpful. A very enjoyable stay.

We only stayed for the one night but if we are back in the area we’ll certainly stay there again.

Room was a good size with modern furnishings in good taste and a very comfy bed. Our evening meal was delicious as was breakfast and more than you could want. All the staff were friendly and helpful without being obtrusive.

Ask for a room at the rear of the property if you can - the road at the front is very busy and traffic noise spoiled what was otherwise a very pleasant stay.
