It was very expensive for what we got. No parking, very steep stairs, very small kitchen that was poorly equipped - only 4 mugs, only 4 glasses, only 4 forks etc etc, no dishwasher and no washing machine. Leaking windows, no house information provided, no tv (would have been handy for film watching during a very wet week) misleading marketing photos relating to size. Inadequate recycling and bin provision. Beautiful house, but more style over practical function - it felt like an unfinished project. I have been holidaying in North Wales in cottages for last 35 years so have lots of experience of what works.

Great location for traveling around that part of Wales. The WiFi was mostly ok. The owner solved a plumbing problem the day after it happened by getting a plumber on a Sunday which was very satisfactory. Easy to have takeaways delivered locally, or only a short walk to collect. Parking permits were great, and although the car had to be parked in side streets, we found a place every time which was surprising.

The rooms are spread over 4 floors so there are a great many stairs which you'll find yourself going up and down all the time; with plates from the kitchen upstairs to the dining area downstairs that's not necessarily easy. The wooden floors made it sound like we were wearing cloggs all week! The absence of a TV seemed odd, but we knew this in advance and took our own with an Amazon Firestick which worked fine with the WiFi. We coincided with strong winds which sounded very loud at night down the open chimneys; and the smell of soot was quite strong. No dish brush in the kitchen sink, just a dishcloth and washing up liquid.
