Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Several of them spoke great English and all of them were patient with my beginner Spanish as well. Property was small, beautiful, and quiet with plenty of places of stretch out and relax. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

- Room safe didn't work and was too small to fit a laptop. The property feels very secure but when I'm travelling with my tech stuff I do like to have a safe. - Location was a bit tricky. I walked into town one day and although it's only about ten minutes there are some steep hills and the cobblestones are dicey. If you like being able to hop out the front door to go to stores and restaurants this isn't the spot for you, but if you want to be more secluded from the noise and activity of downtown it's great. You can always take a cab.

Beautifully decorated off the beaten path hotel. Very quiet. Felt very safe. Omar was simply fantastic. He knows his job and does it extremely well.

No coffee before 9 am. Nothing else.

the staff was exceptional, they arranged a tour to see the monarch sanctuary, brought us water when soaking in the hot tub,served wonderful margaritas,. the rooms were spacious and clean. Super comfortable beds.

the lightening in the rooms could have been better and outside of out doorway it was dark.

Absolutely loved our stay at Casa Chichipicas! The whole place was so thoughtfully and tastefully designed, with so many little touches wherever you looked. Our room felt like real luxury with the plunge pool and huge comfy bed! Not to mention the staff were so attentive and friendly, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home, including lighting the fire for us in the evening when it got a bit cooler. Would 100% stay again, I can’t recommend it enough!

Good location. Hotel looks nice in pictures, but in real life I was not impressed.

Horrendous experience for being a 'boutique hotel'. Not worth the money. Beds are absolutely uncomfortable (SUPER HARD), wifi rarely worked, and window in room did not close properly. We were only allowed to use jacuzzi once, and it was not even properly warmed up. Would not recommend to stay here.

The service and facility was very calm and comfortable. The food was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay here again for a romantic weekend trip.

The only things I would note is that were there are roosters near by that make a lot of noise during the night, but they provide ear plugs which helps a lot. It is also at least a 15 minute was from the lake and a lot of uphill coming back, but if you are open to walking a bit it isn't bad

The staff was so kind, the food was amazing, the pool, fireplace and hottub were delightful. In-room massage was super relaxing. I didn't want to leave!

AMAZING place. We came to spend New Years and have a minute outside Mexico City we’re we live, couldn’t have had better vacations!

Everything was just perfect.

The place overall is beautiful. The staff didi their best. The team in small and there were some confusions at check-in regarding deposits and a couple of things that were sorted out.

The height of the door knob and key, the food was good but expensive and the lady at the reception was a bit rude. The parking lot is small and of difficult access.
